SIMPUSH SIMRacing Wheel Quick Release Adapter Plate Ring

I have a Thrustmaster TSXW with 301 and F1 wheels. The stock nut that tightens the wheels is terrible. It simply doesn't work. This easy add on gives you enough leverage to really tighten the nut to the wheel. Before the add on, the wheel would loosen up every couple of minutes while racing. With the add on, it has not loosened once in five races. Great product. Question: Why doesn't Thrustmaster include this $16 part in their $650 wheel kit?

Easy to use and doesn't come loose. No more using crappy screw

If you're familiar with the Thrustmaster wheels and base (like the TS-XW and the SF1000) then you know how hard it is to run that set screw into your brand new wheel and continue to mar and gouge your wheel base hub. This little gem allows you to ditch the set screw all together. You simply install the quick release ring, then the wheel, spin it counter clock wise and you're all tightened up. I've spent hours running this and it's never come loose or cause any issues. Not to mention it's adding life to the wheel hub. A great product that I highly recommend if you have a TM system that allows steering wheel changes.

Exactly the perfect tool for the job

This works exceptionally well. Simple and fits perfectly. I was considering doing a full on quick release system for changing between my two thrustmaster wheels. But this makes changing wheels very simple. Takes a little bit longer I’m sure but I’m not in big rush or anything. I don’t use the set screw anymore. Rarely it feels a little loose during a race and I can just grab it and tighten it easily while driving. Very happy with it.

The hands down WORST feature of the Thrustmaster wheels is the "quick release system", which is a giant plastic thread and a screw that takes about 30 seconds to change out a wheel compared to Fanatec's realistic full-metal quick release system. Even with the screw my wheel would sometimes randomly get loose and it was making me so mad. The giant thread isn't the annoying part of changing wheels, it's the screw that would make the wheel go loose without it. But with this adapter ring, you can tighten down your wheels just that extra bit and it holds your wheels in place beautifully. In conclusion, this is a must-have accessory if you're buying a T300/TM or other Thrustmaster wheel base with the same giant plastic "quick release system". It's cheap and is SO helpful.

I didn't like the idea of a screw holding the release mechanism for the rim to the servo much so I looked into what after market options were available for a better quick release system for my TS-PC servo. While there are a lot of great looking options, I didn't much like to idea of cutting and soldering or rewiring wires which is a requirement on most of the metal plate third party options. This 3d printed plastic ring works really well in allowing the Thrustmaster native quick release to be tightened and loosened. The installation is simple and does not require any tools. Simply push the ring into the servo's quick release mechanism after lining up the grooves. After few hours of use, not in a single sitting but several sessions, I confirmed that the ring was not coming loose from usage. One thing to note though is that it does not help with flex and creaking sounds from the rim/servo. It's not the tightness of the quick release that's causing the noise unfortunately. I was hoping it might help with the annoying noises but sadly that's another issue. At least now I don't have to wonder if a screw is grinding away any plastic on the rim every time I hear noise from the rim/servo while playing.

T-GT2にて使用。 もともとの構造が今主流になってるクイックリリース式ではなく、絞めつけて固定する作りをしているのでフォースフィードバックによるテンションが継続的にかかると徐々に緩んでくるのが必然の設計になっており、これを防ぐため、絞めつけた後に穴を空けてネジで固定するという、商品を傷つけるような事を取説で要求されて非常に不満だったのですが、こいつを使ってしっかり締めた後、このアダプタを取り付けたステアリングの根本に押し付けると、全く緩まなくなった。 このアダプタは商品に付属するレベルの効果を発揮するので、プレイ中にステアリングが緩んでその度に締め直してる人には是非一度試してみてもらいたい。
