Very good product for 2 years.
We found this thermostat accurate, convenient, and easy to operate. After 2 years the up and down buttons stopped responding immediately. We have to hold the buttons down for up to about 30 seconds before they work. We hope the manufacturer will respond with the reason and what can be done.

Good product.
Needed a new thermostat because the original one didn't light up and was hard to read. This one was easy and clear to read. Installation wasn't bad at all accuracy is good. Overall good buy for the price.

Exact replacement for existing one
My existing one, after 8 years, seemed to develop a mind of its own - not shutting off, not starting on time, etc. I bought this particular one since I knew that since it is exactly the same as my old one, there would be no compatibility, mounting, or wiring issues and that turned out to be right.

Works as programmed
This unit is easy enough to program, if you read the manual. I find it odd that it divides the day into four time segments, each programmable, along with Saturday and Sunday. Note that there's something called Energy Management Recovery (EMR), which threw me for a loop when I started using the program. The thermostat has a microcomputer that calculates when to turn on the heat or cooling. So even though you might set it to come on at a certain time at a certain temperature, it won't do that. It will come on earlier to allow for temperature variations, 1F for every 15 minutes. This is supposed to make your heater more efficient by allowing for gradual heating/cooling. EMR can be turned off. See the Installer/Configuration Menu to find out what buttons to push. I have to presume White Rodgers knows its business, so I leave it on. Update 10/7/2021: The batteries leaked, shorting out the thermostat. I had to buy a new one. Be sure to replace batteries every 2 years.
