Blackcurrant Leaf Tea
This product is one of the least expensive options for dried blackcurrant leaves (used for making tea but can also be used for other types of flavorings). I noticed a lot of other reviewers making complaints about the leaves being weak. The only other blackcurrant leaf tea I've had was from an old Russian source, but they taste and smell close enough. You have to brew this properly, using at least a teaspoon of leaves and steeping in boiling water until it's cooled down enough to drink. I know some people out there like to brew every tea as if it was some delicate sencha (which is usually steeped in warm water for a only 3 minutes), but that's not going to work well for most herbs. The only valid complaint I saw was that the leaves are broken up instead of whole as in the picture, but that's probably because they broke up during shipping as the package was being moved around.

Not what I was expecting
No no no. This might be organic but it is certainly not what black currant leaves should look like. It’s super poor quality and the taste is not there. my grandma used to grow black currant in her garden when I was little and the taste of this product does not even come close to the actual taste of black currant leaves. Kind of disappointed to have wasted money on this, with no option to return :(

Diseased leaves, no aroma, very weak taste
The media could not be loaded. The manufacturer's promises do not meet my expectations. as you can see a lot of diseased leaves, there is no blackcurrant flavor at all, but there is a barely pronounced taste. I think that this is really black currant, but very old. they wrote that the harvest will be harvested in the spring of 2024. It's the end of April... it's strange because in Poland there can't be a blackcurrant harvest at this time (in February or March. Then they need to dry the leaves, pack them, send them to the USA). but even if they removed the leaves without waiting for the berry harvest and leaving the bushes bare, this is very strange since new dry blackcurrant leaves have a very strong aroma. These leaves are probably 5 or 10 years old. I regret the purchase and the money spent. I'll try to return it.

These are not black current leaves!
The real black current leaves have very pleasant aroma that you’ll remember for the rest of your life, once you smelled them (or had a tea from them). The tea from these leaves tastes like maybe grass?

Not black currant
As someone who grew up with black currant bushes in the back yard, I know what black currant leaves look and smell like and how they taste when brewed. Whatever this is, it is NOT back currant leaves. Possibly blackberry leaves, but NOT black currant. The label says "Belgium", although it is not clear whether it was packed there or just the seller is Belgian. Where the leaves were sourced is also not clear. The website states "we seek out the finest artisan tea farms" - pretty vague.

Stay away from buying this product
It smells and tastes nothing like blackcurrant leaf. The leaves are shredded really fine - nothing like in the picture. It tastes like hay and smells like hay as well. I don't recommend this product.

This is NOT a black currant
This is some random leaves, not black currents, not even a little bit.

SCAM
Not black current. Just a bunch of small cut unknown tasteless leaves.
