how often do I put the polish on?

The best way is to use this as a base coat then put your regular nail polish on to bond to it and use it to top coat. Do that every time and your nails will grow so strong and long you’ll be amazed. My friend who is a nail tech calls it liquid gold! And always use Formula 2.

does nailtiques help nails with ridges

I don't think it will help with ridges.  I have a ridge on one of my nails and that really hasn't changed.  No more splitting or peeling but the ridge is still there.

Can I use Nailtiques on my new gel manicure for extra protection

Hi, yes off course it's wonderful to protect the nail polish to last longer. I swear by it, when I use other clear top coats nothing works like Nailtiques.

Can you use this on top of nail polish?

I do! And I will tell you that it majorly improves the quality of even the most schlocky polish! A polish that wouldn't last 2 days without chipping without Nailtiques on top has lasted me up to 2 weeks with Nailtiques. And makes it super shiny too!

I will reapply the Nailtiques if the polish starts to wear off on the edges and it seems to pull it all back together and seal it again for a while - especially after pool PT for example. I don't know if the layers of Nailtiques that go on top of the polish have any effect on the nail that underneath it or not, but while its all on there it is still stronger (if that makes sense?)

Tonight I put one coat & will do a second tomorrow before I apply the color polish. I'm thinking the 2 coats on the raw nail will be more effective at actually healing the strength of the nail itself. This stuff IS TRULY AMAZING! I have only ever had more than one long nail at a time with this stuff involved. Back on it about 3 weeks now and have 6 long, 3 med and one short nail. The only one that broke since I restarted. Love this stuff!!!
