I bought this kit for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. She loved it! In addition to the stuffed fox doll, the kit included lots of accessories to make - headbands, clothing, a mini backpack, etc. and used high-quality materials throughout. The instructions were clear and well-illustrated. This was just the right level of difficulty for her. I also bought the Bunny doll kit for her sister, which was equally well received. This is so cute and so fun for a 7 year old. It does not include a real needle, but a plastic one. It is a good start to learning how to sew without using real needle and thread. It has a ton of adorable accessories and makes a great little stuffed friend. My daughter uses it as a little doll friend. It took a few hours to put together
