Absolutely Love It – A Real Waffle Maker
I already own the Cuisinart Griddler Five (GR-5BP1), which offers a separate waffle plate—but let me tell you, the quality difference between that and this dedicated waffle maker is night and day. This waffle maker delivers thick, crispy, golden-brown waffles every time. One batch makes four small waffles, and I usually enjoy two with fresh fruit for a perfect weekend brunch. On setting level 3+, the waffles turn out beautifully—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside (though this can vary slightly depending on your mix and personal preference). Want them even crispier? I simply turn off the power and leave the lid closed a bit longer—works like magic. The non-stick coating is excellent. Nothing sticks, and cleanup is a breeze. If you want to go a step further, the plates pop right out and are dishwasher safe—totally hassle-free. Compared to the Griddler’s waffle plate, this feels like a real waffle maker—superior heat distribution, texture, and overall performance. It’s become a weekend ritual with coffee at home, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Love it. Love it. Love it.

WONDER WAFFLES! WOW!!!
AT LAST... a wonderful waffle maker that makes waffle making a JOY! Having just returned home from Maine Maple Weekend, we decided to buy a new waffle maker. Our old waffle maker did not have removeable plates and after several years of steady use, it had not aged well. After a lot of research, we decided to purchase this Cuisinart model because our experience with Cuisinart appliances has always been great. This waffle maker is excellent! What a difference! -The non-stick plates release the waffles every time with ease (no more scraping up stuck-on waffles in a hot waffle iron!). -The indicator light lets you know when the waffles are done (no more guesswork!). -Adjustable temperature setting (we use setting #3, perfect waffles EVERY TIME). -The interchangeable plates come off instantly with just the push of a button. -The plates are easy to clean and dishwasher safe. -The handle does not get hot. -The exterior is easy to wipe clean. -No more overflowing, spilled, burnt mess! We have used the waffle maker several times since we purchased it and it has not overflowed! It makes 4 Belgian waffles at one time (time saver!) and the controls are easy to use. This is, easily, the BEST waffle maker we have ever owned! It's the quality you expect from Cuisinart at a fair price. We love it so much we're going to buy a few more to give as Christmas gifts (along with bottles of Maine maple syrup, of course)!

Great Waffles maker and other stuff too
I love this thing. It beeps when ready, pour the batter in and wait for another beep and perfectly done waffles. I generally twist the power switch so its horizontal to the counter, sorry I don't remember the numbers I think its between 3 and 4. I've found that it is any higher the waffles are either over done or burnt. Because of the non-stick surface the waffles come out easily, no mess, no fuss. I've been using the Krusteaz belgian waffle mix and its perfect every time. The heating plates are removable and have forms for tiny pancakes 2" maybe? I used it to make a quesadilla and it was ok. it would be better if there were waffle heating plates and then flat heating plates. Its Super easy to clean and it stands up when not using so easy to store or not take up much counter space. I would recommend this to anyone.

Removeable Plates are +++++
I appreciate that I can remove the plates for thorough cleaning. One dial setting makes cooking easy. Audible tone when the unit is up to temp, and again when the cooking is complete. Would like to see some type of latch to keep the unit closed when in upright storage. It tends to flop open. Don't forget to add some oil to the batter or your waffles will stick.

Great waffles, chaffles, removable plates (square version) critical
My family of four is reducing our carb intake, and I previously started with the Dash mini waffle maker, but the cleanup drove me crazy. With all the cheese and other ingredients, there is a lot of oil and burned bits. And the mini takes 4-5 minutes per little waffle which means my family of four had to wait forever. I hunted and hunted for a waffle maker with removable plates and settled for this one. Tonight I made chicken Parmesan chaffles which definitely requires more filling than the little dash, maybe 1 of these chaffles is like 1.5-2 from the Dash mini. You can see my chicken Parmesan chaffles in the picture. The second picture is of the waffle plates dirty after making them, the third picture is after I easily washed the plate. I also used the pancake plate to make “keto sandwich thins” cheeseburger patty pocket sandwich. I also am going to try Chinese “egg dumplings” which uses scrambled egg thin wrappers around dumpling filling. Definitely the bottom browns more for the pancake plates. It might brown the top well if the pancake batter you make rises a lot. Otherwise one side definitely looks better than the other. So many uses beyond regular waffles, and the removable plates allow for easy cleanup. My waffle maker also was missing back rubber feet and I have asked Cuisinart if this is intentional. But those feet are pretty sharp without the rubber feet. The machine is relatively light and I was surprised how light the plates were compared to some other machines I’ve tried. But they made the regular waffles well and the chaffles as well, so I can’t complain. I do wish that they made the top and bottom plates interchangeable as I think a flat bottom plate would have been a nice option. The “ready” beep was quite accurate. I wonder if it was just a timer thing or a temperature gauge or some other sensor.

gorgeous, quick Belgian waffles; pop out plates- easy for making other foods
I am super pleased with this waffle making machine. I spent a lot of time looking at a variety of waffle makers. I wanted to get one for my husband as he sometimes wants waffles. I am not usually a fan of waffles, but I found that I do like Belgian style. So, when I began looking for a waffle maker for him, I made sure it could make the thicker Belgian style that I like. There are so many waffle makers out there and the reviews are all over the place. I went from thinking I could get something for less than $20 to taking a peek at the offerings in the hundreds. I looked so hard and so long that I was considering giving up. At some point in my mission, I found this Cuisinart waffle maker. I have always liked this brand, and I was kinda keen on the features such as: Removable plates Use beyond making waffles, additional plates (swap out two waffle plates for a flat and a flat/round for eggs, sausage patties, sandwiches) Belgian waffle style plates with deep crevices The product description video helped me to see how it works, which influenced my ultimate buying decision. Basically its a breakfast station! My primary interest was waffle making, so even the lure of added functionality didn't completely sell me at first. I continued to read all the reviews- again, all mixed like every other out there- and abandoned this for awhile to continue my search. I circled back around to this because, once again, I have been pleased with anything I have by Cuisinart. I liked the overall look of this, and that it appeared to be easy to store. I also decided I liked the additional plates, and I liked that there is no need to do any flipping or rotating of the machine. It cost more ($72) than I originally set out for, but everything about this unit- if it worked- seemed to be worth it. We love "breakfast" anytime, so i knew it would be used not only for waffles but for pancakes, eggs, and sausage patties. In addition, I started looking at recipes that go beyond breakfast foods that use a waffle maker, and this size and style seemed conducive to trying out all sorts of neat recipes. SOLD! Now, as to how it did. 1st-- how the waffles turn out is greatly determined by the cook. My husband makes perfect Belgium waffles each and every time. ME? they turn out.. ok. I am so glad I wasn't the only one to test this out, as I would have thought that the machine was at fault. NOPE- me. I swear I do all the things he does, but every single time his turn out better. EVEN SO, mine still look good. It has a few heat settings, just take a look at the manual for additional guidance. I don't think they take long to make. We made several in short time. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Waffles were evenly cooked, and always just turn out well. We use Krusteaz brand Belgian Waffle mix every time- not sure if that makes a difference or not. The plates pop out for easy washing, if need be (I usually just wipe with a damp cloth). I can store the unit in an upright position or resting flat. It doesn't take up much room in my cupboard, which is great. Compact- just a square. Nothing sticking out, making it weird. If you like appliances on your counter, this is pleasant to look at. Usually when we do waffles, we aren't doing pancakes. Usually when I do pancakes, I am used to using another style of pan, BUT, this is really nice as it heats up quickly, doesn't stick, and is just fun to use one unit. The round section is for batter,eggs, etc, then the top flat portion presses down. It is still being used primarily for waffles, but I am very pleased with this waffle maker. Especially when my husband makes waffles. The more we use the more I am pleased with this purchase. 5 stars at this time. If I learn anything new- good or bad- I will be back to update.

Easy to use and clean!
So convenient with the removable plates that can then easily be washed. Easy to use... no fancy options, which is fine with me. Have used it thre times, and it prepares pancakes and waffles nicely. I can't speak to longevity yet as I have only owned it a short time.
