Fluorescent Starter, 15-20 Watts, FS-2,Off-white, 13886

Works perfectly. Made of plastic instead of metal but oh well…it’s not seen in normal use anyway- just a petty gripe.

Worked in a lighted clock I was restoring for my garage.

These starters are great -- easy to install -- no need for an electrican -- just turn ccw pull it out and put the new one in

There is a very old cross in my church that has a 20" flourescent tube light in the back to give an interesting glowing effect. That stopped working and replacing the bulb didn't revive it. That left either the ballast or the starter. I had tried another starter I had laying around but that apparently was for larger (higher wattage bulbs). This one did the trick. Standard quarter turn to unlock the old one and replace it with the new one. If this hadn't worked I was going to re-wire it all with LEDs. Guess this will be good again for another 20 years or so.

This unit is an exact duplicate of the defective starter it replaced. It works great, and because I bought a box of 10 starters, they will last a long time.
