is this the real 4711? A friend let me try it but it is not the same

Unfortunately, it is fake. One should know by the significant difference in price. Not a bargain, a fake. I have been buying this cologne in duty free shops and legitime stores to splash on the clean sheets when changing the bed. The smell on this one lasts just a few minutes. The real ones would last several days.

What's the difference between 4711 by muelhens for men. eau de cologne splash 27 oz. and the 4711 by muelhens eau de cologne 27 oz for women?

To me, there is no difference. I have been using 4711 since 1965 and bought some of the so -called women's version for my wife and saw or smelled no difference. It di come in a spray bottle which I figured was the difference.

I understand that Muelhens came up with the original formula, but there is another variation. Look "4711 Muelhens" at Wiki, there is some history there.
