I love my weight scale . I find this the best on the market

If you are buying this scale to work with another app to collect weight data, verify first that it is fully supported. I bought it to use with Samsung Health and found out this version does not support the necessary protocol to share data with that app. You have to buy the white version of this scale to get it to work with Samsung Health. I am using the A&D app and manually inputting the info into Samsung Health. Would have preferred a direct collection of data.

I did have problems pairing the device to a smart phone initially. Eventually I was able to resolve the issue by resetting the scale and pulling the batteries.Afterwards being a little quicker with the Bluetooth pairing sequence worked and it has performed flawlessly ever since. I found that the surface the device is placed on can affect the weight readings. On its own, this seems like a decent robust piece of hardware However, no one buys this scale unless they want the connected IoT features. While bluetooth connectivity does work quite well, the app is terrible, outdated and poorly designed. I found no good way to use this scale with multiple users on Android. If a method exists, it is unclear to the user and undocumented. Whenever anyone in my house steps on the scale their weight shows up in my history next time I weigh myself. There is no way that I found to delete the bad data. Even if a way existed, if a connected scale requires more effort than a clipboard on the bathroom wall or manual entry in a Google Docs spreadsheet then it demonstrates no added value.The colors on the app and the font choice make text difficult to read. The plots are not scaled appropriately to a smart screen display. They all use 0 as the minimum for the axis making meaningful changes in weight hard to see.Another note for Virgin Pulse users. I found no way to connect this scale to virgin pulse even though it is the one used in the health centers. This is a Virgin Pulse issue, rather than an A&D issue. However, for some readers this may be important information. My rating is based on the scale and app, rather than Virgin Pulse connectivity. In general however, without integration with major health care IoT services the value of this scale is drastically decreased. I don't think that many people want to do fitness tracking on multiple apps.I bought this scale at a major discount in "Like New" condition. Therefore in my case it was marginally worthwhile as an unconnected digital scale. However, this scale does not remotely justify it's new price.

Despite Samsung Health stating that this scale is an accessory for Samsung health for over four years, the scale is still not compatible, and by their own admission, likely to never be compatible. Moreover, the A&D Connect app will not connect as a service to the scale, making it utterly useless with Samsung Health.The A&D connect app itself is pretty anemic, its only functionality being to put the numbers on the scale into a chart on your phone. Great for record keeping, I guess, but no functionality as a health app.I did not use the scale beyond testing its connectivity, so I cannot comment on its functionality other than to say its readings were comparable to my current scale and the measurements from my doctors office.
