ECHTPower(TM) Slim USB 3.0 Data 5 Port Hub, 4 Data Transfer Port and A 2.4 A Charing Port with Power Switches and LEDs (4-Port)

This is a nifty little item that you can use for your laptop or your desktop, wherever you need more USB three outlets. With USB three becoming the new standard is days, manufacturers are still not putting very many of these ports, opting still four USB two. USB three is backwards compatible so I don't understand why they're doing this. Still one or two ports is better than no USB three ports at all. Recently I just purchased a new motherboard for my computer and found that all the ports were now USB three, so someone is getting the message. Why is USB three so important, you ask yourself, well let me tell you. USB three speeds up data transfers from machines to jump drives or thumb drives depending on which you would like to call them, by sixfold. Without getting too technical lets just say it's hella fast I bought this to expand the USB threes that were on my laptop because HP deemed that I only needed one. I ended up liking this item so much that I bought another one for my desktop computer which only had 3 USB three ports on it. One of the nice features of this device which speeds things up a little bit is that each port has its own on off switch. As many of you know prior to removing a jump drive from a USB two or three port, you must physically eject it from the computer, otherwise you can end up with your data being scrambled. But with this device, you simply hit the switch that turns off that port and you can pull the jump drive out. It speeds things up quite a bit. The additional power port at the end of this device lets you charge your USB devices quite quickly as it puts out 2.4 A at 5 V. All in all a very good way to add additional ports to your computer, especially if you use a lot of the USB three products like I do.

Great little hub and the charging port is a plus! Real plug 'n' play and the power buttons by the ports make it easy to tell you have power! Speed is good too. Having connected two hard drives a camera/mic and a keyboard/mouse, I do not experience any performance issues, having the hub connected to a USB 3 port. I will buy another one for another computer!

So much useful than I dreamed. So happy I bought it from them. Solved networking problems I didn't even know I had. Don't want to make more of it than necessary but had I had it earlier I would have saved many hours of my life. Arrived timely, great price.

I plan to buy a second unit. I like the availability the on/off switch option for each USB receptacle but I haven't had a need to use the switches, yet.

Love this item! I can easily have four thing plugged in and chose when to have each powered on or off. Super convenient way to have perfect control of multiple devices in one accessible location. Hope it lasts!
