It is a bit on the thin side but it is very comfortable and soft. The color is true.

Super soft but be very careful with washing and drying!
I love this duvet but the shams didn't last. I washed the duvet and pillow shams together in cold water and they were in the same load in the dryer on the lowest setting. The duvet came out fine (bottom part of the picture) but the shams (top part of the picture) seem to have melted and matted. Now they look like a hunk of wool and aren't soft at all. I'm super disappointed because the duvet is so soft and warm and I love curling up under it, but the shams look so gross that I don't want them on the bed anymore. The duvet is heavy, almost like a weighted blanket, which is really nice.EDIT: Great customer service! I contacted the company to see if I could purchase two new shams because I really do love this duvet. They offered to send me two new shams and also suggested that when washing the set, turn it inside out and do not use heat (not even low heat) when drying to protect the texture.

So soft and cozy
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a soft faux fur comforter to make our bedroom feel nice and cozy now that the weather is getting colder. I chose this set because it's available in so many colors. I ordered both the chocolate ombre and khaki ombre. I settled on the khaki because it's a pretty neutral..greyish beige.(Pictured below). The color is exactly as pictured. It's really super soft and the underside is a nice microfiber material. For the reviewers that are commenting on how thin this "comforter" is...they either didn't read the item description or don't know what a duvet cover is. This is meant to GO OVER a down comforter...like a pillowcase. It isn't an actual comforter set. This fit my king size comforter perfectly and I love that it has corner ties and a zip closure. For the reviewers that were climbing inside to tie the corners (lol)...it's easier to just turn it inside out...lay it flat on the floor...tie the corners and then flip it back right side out. I've only had this on my bed for a few nights so I can't attest to how it will stand up to wear and washing. As of now it feels nice on my skin...hasnt she'd a hair...it's super cute and exactly what I was looking for. Hope that helps.

High quality softness!
Thick shiny black plush one side (you can spread the plush apart without seeing the backing) and velvet material like on the other. Has inside ties at each corner and a zipper that goes roughly 2/3 of the width, 5” from the edge with a flap covering it. It drops down roughly 16” on the sides and foot of my king size mattress (I have an extra thick mattress topper as well), once pulled completely to the top edge. The pillow cases have a zipper in the middle also covered with a flap and are also the same soft velvet fabric in the back. It does not shed! Has a bit of a weight and very warm!! My only issue is that my cats love it, but they are also black… so I can’t see them lol Great quality/ value for the price. I highly recommend!

Super soft + great quality for the money!!! MUST follow wash instructions
I LOVE this duvet set! It's softer and better quality than I expected. Having tons of experience with textiles, I have been able to keep it in great condition easily, washing it properly and preventing matting. My niece got this set as well, but unfortunately her set wasn't washed properly and her shams matted badly. Washing this set inside out on gentle cycle and drying on low heat (or better yet, hang to dry) is IMPERATIVE if you want this duvet set to stay in perfect condition and keep the fur from matting. The fur will matt if you do not follow the wash instruction given with this set. I would have given 5 stars if there was warning about matting given with the wash instructions.
