Solved my problems
Currently, I use a Lee pro 1000 with the pro auto disks and a modified adjustable charge bar, and they generally work fine, but they leak some powder and don't meter larger flake powder worth a crap in small charge weights. Setup of the auto drum is straightforward, unscrew the auto disk measure and screw in the auto drum to the powder charge/case flair die. No adjustment was needed, ran a piece of brass up into the measure, and it activated the drum and flared the brass exactly as the auto disk was adjusted to. I believe the auto drum is a much superior metering design for larger flake powder for one main reason. The pro auto disks are a constant depth and change volume by having much smaller or larger diameter holes. The auto drum has a much larger diameter fixed hole and change volume by depth, thereby making powder bridging much less likely. Consistent and adjustable powder charges with no dropping, which a totally despise. The cavity also slants verses being perfectly vertical like the disks, and I'm sure that helps as well. I used this one while reloading 45 ACP and still use the auto disk with 9mm as is easier just to leave everything alone and just switch the entire turret dies and all.

Easy and Accurate
Great choice! I have been using Lee products for years and have always found them innovative and reasonably priced. Recently I have been using their Loadmaster to produce a lot ot 9mm ammo. Several times, for whatever reason, the powder measure got "hung up" and did not return and then drop powder for the next load. Bad!! No powder means "Squib". I purchased this new powder measure to alleviate that problem and perhaps give me more accurate drops. This new measure has done both. Works perfectly every time. Easy to adjust and very accurate. I am using Titegroup which is a very fine and fast burning powder. We are talking about 3.5 grains or so. It has been accurate to about .05 of a grain or even a little better. Also, regardless of what some reviews have stated, I have no noticeable leakage of powder. After loading 500 rounds, there are no powder grains falling out and the accuracy is well within my acceptance level.

If you think you need one of these, you better get two or more.
I loved this powder measure so much that I bought 3 more of them. I use all Lee dies on my Dillon 550b press and have one of these for each caliber that I reload. They are easy to adjust, accurate as any powder measure out there and the price can't be beat. They come with a small capacity drum for pistols and a large capacity drum for rifles. The large one has a plug insert so you can also use it as another pistol drum. I use the small one for 40 S&W and the larger one for 10mm on my tool head set up for 40 caliber pistols. Same with the 38 and 357 tool head set up. If you turn the hopper an 1/8th of a turn or so, you stop the flow of powder through the measure. You will still have about 70 grains of powder in the measure that you need to run through before you can change to a different drum. After you change the drum out, you turn the hopper back on and can start running powder through the new drum. The different drums are nice because once they're set up for one caliber, you can be running charges quickly after a caliber change (you can buy an additional set of 4 drums for around $15 or $20). I read that you can write on the drums to keep track of which goes with each caliber, but haven't tried it. I run mine on the Dillon press with linkage removed, so I don't have to reset it every time and it works great. I haven't tried to use the ball chain that comes with it as a fail safe like my Dillon powder measure has, but you don't really need it. When you're done reloading, you turn off the hopper and it pulls up and off, so you can dump the powder back into the container (use a funnel or put the hopper in the powder jut and open the bottom of the hopper and it will flow right out). This measured very accurately and the only time I had problems leaking was with W296 (H110), which is like baby powder and leaked a lot worse through my Lee Perfect Powder Measure. It has some sort of wiper blade inside it that is supposed to work really well with the stick type rifle powder. I don't load for rifles, so I can't attest to how well it works on that or not.

Accurate and consistent once it’s setup and dialed in.
I’ve used this for small pistol calibers on my lee classic turret press with good success. The first caliber I loaded was 9mm and 4 grains of a flake powder and every time I verified I had 3.9 or 4.0 grains for about 400 rounds. I set it up on 45 ACP and had variation from 4.8 down to 4.3. I think it’s inportant to keep the hopper full and be consistent with your operation of the press. Eventually I got it to run at 4.6-4.8 grains. It’s also important to leave the adjustment key alone once your where you need to be. For my needs-using a turret press for mostly pistol and a few plinking rifle calibers it works well, but I feel like I need a fresh turret AND powder throw for each cartridge because it is too finicky getting dialed in. Once it’s dialed in it seems to stay consistent. I would recommend this for anyone who uses a turret or progressive press with no hesitation. I have been very happy with lee products lately. For function and value they cant be beat.
