FellowesPhoto Gel Mouse mat with Wrist Support - Chevron

I am so disappointed with this mouse mat. I replaced my old Fellowes gel mat with this new one. They should be both the same, however my mouse does not register well with this. I know its not the mouse. I replaced the old one because the gel wrist support was damaged by the kids over the years poking sharp objects into it. I am now placing the old one sideways on top of the new one so I can use the arm rest. Its so annoying trying to work the mouse. It seems i have to press down hard to get it to function. On the old one it glides. Have Fellowes changed something or is it a cheap modification?

Order this once early in the year. Both mat and keyboard come, perfect condition.So a couple months later I reordered another one for the office.It came without a keyboard wrist support. So I contacted amazon and they said they couldn't ship me a wrist support so I'd have to send it back and reorder a new one. But that they contacted the fulfilment centre so that that issue wouldn't happened again.So I returned it and ordered a new one. Though I might add it wasn't picked up the next day as promised by 2 weeks later.Low and behold that one too came without a keyboard wrist support.Again I contacted amazon and again they apologised and said send it back and order again and that it wouldn't happened again as they made a note yada yada yada.So I did and surprise suprise the new one came without the keyboard wrist support.I contacted Amazon again, and again they said sorry won't happen again yada yada yada.I told them clearly it will happen again and no I wont be sending it back or reordering. Especially as I didn't want the package lying around in the office for 2 weeks whilst I wait for it to be picked up.Just asked for a refund for the missing support and they gave it to me.I just gave the mousepad away to a colleague. Didn't want it in my sight anymore.So yeah, the product itself it great but you don't actually get given the whole product.

I've used these fellowes mouse mats for 10 years, and previously had 2 of the plain black mats. (After many years, the base seems to warp so it's not flat.)Whilst the plain black mats have a rubbery surface, this mat with the design has a much harder and slippier surface.If I push the mouse with my finger tip it will literally skid off the mat. It was so slippy that I actually had problems double-clicking, because the mouse would skid very slightly between clicks. I tried 3 mice and couldn't use any of them.Disappointed because I assumed their mats would have the same surface, which is not mentioned in the description. My advice would be to buy the plain black mats (which are great), and avoid the mats with designs.

I've been waiting with review almost a year to see if this Fellowes pad let me down again.In less than 10 months a lump appear on the matt as shown on a video. After pressing its coming back on it's way.I never put anything hot etc.And that 2nd pad from this company. First one had exactly same issue (just a different model)Sorry Fellowes, you have some quality issues, and if you don't fix it, you will be getting bad reviews.If not this, product would be great.

This is essentially a semi rigid silicone type base with a thin plastic sheet applied for the mouse contact mat. The plastic sheet is only lightly glued and easy to peel away. The hard shiny mat is not the best mouse surface. I have two optical mice - one works on it - the other does not register at all.The plus is the gel wrist part. It gives way a little and is very comfortable. I just might have to attach a better mouse mat in place of the vinyl attachment that is on there now.
