Great Value replacement for 5" Firebox Trangia Gas Stove
This fits perfectly inside my 5" Firebox stove at a fraction of the cost of the Trangia gas burner. I prefer and enjoy feather sticking and batoning to fuel my Firebox. However you do get those wet days when all you want is to get the stove going so you can fix some chow. That's where the convenience of a gas burner comes into play. But it has to be small and light, and quality. The Trangia gas burner for the 5" Firebox sells for around $65. Do the math. This little gas burner is a steal.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Used it during hurricane Irma. It heats up water fairly quickly (can't be without my morning french press coffee, even during a hurricane). It's my first time using something of its kind so I can't compare it to another. The stove did not feel flimsy, or wobbly during heating of a pot of water. I highly recommend it even though I'm no expert in these kinds of gadgets.

Not recommended.
I bought this for our Boy Scout Troop to use on our weekend hiking trip as our MSR stove had to be sent back for repairs because the connector where the gas can screws in stripped out. When I received the stove I assembled and did a test to ensure that the lighter worked and everything else was functional. Stove went together fine and light properly. Next I wanted to do a boil test on two cups of water to see how quickly it would take to boil a pot with water. After igniting the stove and placing the pot on to perform the test the flame started spurting. In an effort to adjust the flame I could not get the gas to regulate and in the process the button and part of the house for the ignitor switch melted and caught fire. In my opinion this was caused because the adjustment valve is not as precise as other stoves that I have used causing a delay when you make an adjustment and the corresponding correction in the flame. I will be returning to Amazon.

Stable for larger pots
I bought this because of good price and good reviews. It did not disappoint. It was a gift for my college age son who does more car camping but this could be good for weekend warrior backpackers too. Probably a bit too heavy for thru hikers. If a person was into bushcraft it may be useful for largerpots for sterilizing drinking water.

Fantastic little stove
Fantastic little stove! I bought a couple of the really little Etekcity ones that go right on the top of the fuel can and, they were fine, but not very stable with a pot of water on top. This one takes up a little more room in my kayak but well worth it. Used it last weekend to cook baked beans, boil water for coffee, and cook scrambled eggs. It worked great!! Super stable!

Very small. Does the trick but be carful about stability
Works as advertised. A bit flimsy but will support heavy pots when set up. It's quite small and light. The sparker sits in front of the gas flow, so it has gotten charred with use. You must be careful about knocking over the unit. It tips over easily with no weight on top - make sure you have something heavy on top before lighting the gas. I have adapted it to a 20 lb propane tank, no issues and much more affordable than small tanks.

It works
It was exactly what I needed and thought. Very packable and lightweight. Did a little back country trip and worked just fine. Boiled water/perked coffee in a timely manner. I did bend the ignition spark, and need a lighter now, but that was my fault. I'll figure out how to bend it in the correct position, to light, but I carry a lighter/rod & steel with me anyways and that worked.

Cheap
Second time using it the braided line broke and had flames shooting out of it
