Worked perfectly!
Perfect. So easy to turn unlaquered brass handles to a aged look. UNLAQUERED BRASS AND THIS WORKS FOR ME.I wiped it on the handles already installed with a rag soaked in the liquid. I did not soak anything like the instructions says because I am lazy.5 minutes later I got what I wanted. Wipe evenly on all spots or you'll get the unevenness I got. But I wanted the rustic unevenness of the look. It went to a beautiful tarnished brass coperish color in no time.

Works good
I like this stuff but and I've had like 3 bottles of it, but somehow it always spills. Not sure if the lid just doesn't screw on tight or what but I've had every bottle spill if it was tipped over after it's been open. Wasted a lot of money that way.

Did not work and not returnable
purchased this item to use on interior door hinges. However, it did not work. When I tried to return, found out it is not returnable. One of the main reasons for buying so readily on Amazon is I always know (or thought I did) that items are easy to return, but that seems to be changing, especially with 3rd party sellers.

Works well when used properly
This product works as advertised. I didn't think my brass was lacquered, but I cleaned it with acetone, then vinegar, and alcohol last to be sure that there was nothing that could be dissolved. I dipped two sconces in a large plastic container--first the wall mount side then the candle holder portion. For the areas that didn't darken as quickly as others, I rubbed the solution on in a circulation motion with cotton rounds until it was the color I hoped for. Then, I rinsed the pieces under running water before drying them. Definitely quick, easy to use, and effective if you want to antique a piece without waiting for the brass to oxidize on it's own. 👍🏾

Works good if you submerge entire project
The project work really well, is recommended to submerge the entire project in some sort of a bath. After that if certain parts are not darkening then you may need to remove the project and sand down certain areas that are not reacting to the chemical. Also if you use a throwaway chip brush you can brush back-and-forth across the surface to get a more consistent coloring and finish. Another thing I tried while it is still submerged in the chemical I had some spots that were not darkening and I used steel wool to rub a crossed the surface while still wet in the bath. It is a good idea to do a wash over the entire surface with acetone before starting to submerge it in the chemical. After you do the acetone wash you will want to use gloves or be careful not to touch the surface with your bare hands before you submerge it into the chemical. This will prevent Leaving fingerprints or smudges from oil in your hands.
