Good, solid book (4.75 stars)
The author of this book, Constance Brown, did a superb job in the organization and presentation of this book. Further, she is the kind of author that makes the reader feel to go out there and find out more in his/her own about esoteric and etheral methematical concepts. I myself have traded for a number of years as was always very skeptical of Tech Analysis. After reading this book, though I'm still skeptical, I am a little more open to use TA in my trades.I think Constance, the author, has grown up since she wrote "Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional." This time around she is less "naggy," without ever being dry and stoic. Many people who do not like her is because they disregard her for being too "womanish" in her literay voice. Of course, the aforemntioned point of view is very chauvinistic, and should ne be the basis for judging her works. The only problem I found was that the last three or four chapters were botched. I'm myself an engineer by training and a mathematician by hobby and I can tell she was getting into math that was way over her head and over the head of many of her readers. The book is a definite must if you're interested in Tech Analysis. It will introduce you, teach you with intricate detail, let you teach yourself, and finally see the conclusions of your work.I really like the very last chapter "the 27 million dollar lunch" I think this chapter alone will teach more about TA/Investing that any primer out there. As I said in the subject, this is a very good, solid book.

Fascinating Observations re: Technical Analysis
I really enjoyed this book. As a female trader myself, it was nice to see a book written by a woman, as this field is still predominantly male.I found many of her comments fascinating, such as the one that people who have a knowledge of art or music make good traders. As I am an art lover, this astounded me! Then I realized that I can easily look at a work of art for 30 minutes, and can do the same to a stock chart, including studying indicators and stock patterns. I can see this in music notation. A fascinating book.

read after you read the ultimate day tradr
this book is a great follow up for the ultimate day trader as it shows you the proper uses for technical analysis and why its important to get you techinique down in this strategy I say read this if you are already familiar with the terminology of the day trader game

Unbelievable!
While I agree the organaztion of the book is a little odd, I find it very amusing that when a brilliant trader reveals one version of the "holy grail" to the public they scoff and complain. That's why so few of them make money. Stop reading books, you're wasting your life away. Get another hobby.

An Aimless Book
In each chapter and throughout this book, the author writes whatever comes to her mind and therefore, it is hard to understand where she heads and concludes what. I don't know in which category this book fits but definitely not in technical anaysis.

lively conversation
I greatly enjoyed reading this book. It was very well written, and it filled in a few holes in my education. However, I did not learn very much new about technical analysis. For a begginer, however I think that this book would provide a wealth of information.

Very teaching for the beginners, lots of fundamentals get acquired
This book is very useful to learn the basics about technical analysis. For sure you won't know All About Technical Analysis but you will get familiar with some elementary item like the Fibonaccis series and the way you can find it in financial markets price moves.Indeed there are some digressions of the author when she tells about her personal story and it may be not 100% necessary but the essential stuff is here.Another interesting point : several additional books are mentioned, which may be useful to keep the research of the writer on if he/she wants to widen his/her knowledge. Moreover you need to have a very first level of financial markets and/or have to have worked or practised in this environment before(would be easier to understand some notions)--> need to know the difference between a stock and a bond.Personally it enhanced my understanding of many points which were shadowy before reading this book.As I doing some proprietary trading on Fixed Income products this helped me being more focused on some details .I have by the way understood you need not only to read a legions of books but also need to perform (either paper or real but after validating your strong understanding of the topic you have studied) some testing of the theory. To sum up : May be very useful for the beginners;Certainly useful for the ones which have intermediate but non advanced level; Not necessary helpful for the advanced or very advanced ones( for example this won't help for those which have the CMT degree)Thank you Mrs Constance BROWN
