can use this cable with phantom power microphones and a lixpro 4 channel 3 pin xlr multi network box

Yes I use phantom power with mine it works great. I have several xlr and 1/4 multi boxes in the mix of things. I have cat 6 cables and converters in the mix also with 80 ft runs to feed my many tv audio it all works great

How flexible is this cable? Does it lay flat like a mic cable?

It does lay flat for the most part. I still tape down at some venues.Behringer x32 and S16 (x2)

Are these cables thicker than regular cables? More protection?

Yes the cable is much thicker. It is a standard network cable with a BX metal jacket and a 2nd vinyl plastic jacket. The cable is armored to take abuse

Is the drain wire connected to the G-Shell connector?

You might want to ask GLS, but I believe it is and it is lifted on one end.
