I've tried a few of these types of devices, as I like to put things in the oven and then take timer with me to another room to remind me when to go out and check the oven. Previous ones have been a little too flimsy, and have fallen apart over time. This one works reliably for me. I'm careful not to just throw it around, because it is just a light plastic device and it can break, but the back stand has survived. The magnets are still in place on the back and its stick to metal surfaces at least horizontally, because honestly I don't want it to fall off a vertical surface. The buttons are fairly intuitive to use once you've read the instructions. The one issue I accidentally had with it was pushing the buttons so fast, I fumbled and turned on the alarm function and the thing went off at 12AM in the morning. I'd lost the manual and didn't know how to turn it off, but some some searches quickly gave me the instructions on turning the alarm off and its all fixed. The battery seems to last forever. I've haven't changed mine yet. Caution: the alarm does NOT ring forever. It will stop, so if you don't hear it and respond, you may not realize it has gone off already.

The very readable display and intuitive controls make this Timer so easy to use!

Read most of the 1, 2 and 3 star reviews and have only had mine a little over a month. Keeps time just fine. I only use it maybe 3-4 times a day & hoping it lasts well over a year. Glad it has a loud alarm making it easy for me to hear it a couple of rooms away. One magnet stayed on the refrigerator so being a good DIYer (handyman & do it yourself-er) and always having epoxy around I quickly solved that problem by permanently gluing the magnet back in. Yeah, I would recommend they better secure the magnets. BUT IT WORKS! And that's what I wanted! Would have given it 5 stars but for the magnet problem.

I really like this kitchen timer so far! It has the countdown timer mode I needed plus a count up timer, a clock mode, and alarm mode. The interface is pretty simple and intuitive with five clearly labeled buttons on the front and two switches on the back for on/off and sound/flash. The magnets are strong and kick stand is sturdy. The display is large and easy to read from most angles. I do wish that setting the countdown timer was quieter or even silent. It makes a loud beep on each button press. There is a silent mode, but it would be too easy to forget to switch the sound back on. As a right handed person, I think it would have made more ergonomic sense to switch the positions of the MODE and the START/STOP buttons. I intuitively expect the most used button to be right in thumb position for most users. It takes a split second longer to locate and press it. Nice for lefties I guess.

It’s cheap, easy to set up, and has all the functions I need for studying and timing my sessions. The reason I gave it 3 stars is that the clock gradually falls behind the actual time. Even when I set it slightly ahead, it still runs slower over time, so I have to keep adjusting it. I usually need to reset it about once a week.

Edit: Ordered a second one Thursday, March 5, 2020. Received it Monday, March 9, 2020. I am very pleased with them both. Looks great. Nice features. Easy to read. At first, I didn't like that the timer reset to 0:00:00 when stopping it after the alarm went off. Other timers I've owned reset to the previously set time automatically when you stop the alarm. I had to continue reading the instructions to learn: Once you press the Start/Stop button to stop the timer alarm, you then press the Clear button once. This resets the timer to the previously set time. Pressing Clear a second time will then reset the timer to 0:00:00. I've only had this timer for a day. But, so far, I believe this is the best little kitchen clock/timer I have so far. I now keep my previous clock/timer on the desk next to my computer. It did not come with a battery included. Luckily, I had some new heavy-duty AAA Duracell batteries I wasn't using. Pros: • Silent or Ring Modes. • Beeps when pressing buttons to set clock or timer. (Ring Mode) • Large, easy to read numbers. • Countdown memory function. • Sturdy. • 3 strong magnets spaced equidistant for secure attachment to metal surfaces. • Timer can be turned off to save battery life. • Inexpensive, relatively speaking. Cons: • Works differently than most clock/timers. Make sure to read the instructions. • Switching this clock/timer off requires resetting the time when turned back on. • Battery not included. If I decide to replace my old clock/timer that sits by my computer, I would purchase another one of these KTKUDY timers.

24 hour timer with large numbers and a loud timer. Exactly what was wanted!!!
