Differentiated Challenges FTW
My 4th grade gifted class absolutely loves logic puzzles. The problem is, they complete them so very quickly. What I love about this book is the variety of different types of puzzles. Building those critical thinking and problem solving skills is so vital. I especially like that each type of puzzles has scaffolded practice, starting with easier warm-up problems and building to mind-bending ones. I choose 4-5 pages through the book and make a challenge packet for the week. The kids love it! I would say this is ideal for grades 4-6 and potentially higher, depending on the group of kiddos.

Interesting
The child really asked for this book, he said that it was very interesting and entertaining. the book arrived without damage. Unfortunately, the child lost interest without starting to decide. In my opinion, the book is useful for children. I recommend

Good for kids who need to be challenged
This is great for kids who are already good at math, and like math, but need to be challenged. - Gregory Bullock, author of ALGEBRA IN WORDS

Good questions but no answers
Good compilation of questions but it lacks answers. I wish it at least had sample questions with answers to guide usability. The questions were similar to 1st graders GT class so it is a good practice book.

Classroom friendly!!
I use these pages in my 5th grade classroom and my kids love the challenge! I use these problems for whole group warm ups, partner work, and even challenge problems!

Excelling challenge in logic and reasoning for the child who lives to think!
As a retired teacher, I recognized in one of the grand girls the need for more challenging reasoning problems. She loves to figure problems out and does so very logically. For her eighth birthday I ordered her this book and she regularly texts me a picture of a page that she has completed all by herself. Many of the skills (multiplication and division) she has not been taught yet in second grade, but she frequently reasons out the correct answer using addition or subtraction. This is a very motivating and well thought out combination of activities for that child who delights in figuring out difficult problems using reasoning skills.

Not your typical math workbook! 11-year-old and 8-year-old love it!
When we received our Do the Math book, my 11-year-old jumped right in and started solving puzzles. He enjoyed a sense of accomplishment with each puzzle he solves. It was fun to work through the activities with my 8-year-old and watch her logical thinking grow as she worked through the progressive activities. The authors provide tips and supports through beautifully designed graphics that helped work their way up to more challenging puzzles with confidence. I highly recommend Do the Math!*i received a promotional copy of this book (but it was so great I purchased a second one!)

Fun book for kids (and adults!)
What a fun book! My seven year old’s favorite part is the emoji math, and she has been telling her friends to get the book too! This book exemplifies how math is about being creative! Forget memorizing formulas or times tables; this book is about exploring ideas and learning while having fun!I also really appreciate that the authors made notes in the margins to encourage and help kids along. They anticipate spots where kids might get stuck along the way and give them a little push to keep going and keep trying.
