Overall Function
Exact fit to replace my old unit. Working great. I saw one review that said it was "noisy". Clueless what that could have meant. It's inside the refrigerator and no way could it make noise outside. Anyway, so far, I'm very pleased.

Installed properly and works properly. So far. This part is made in China. The stock was made in the US. We'll see if this lasts.

It doesn't work
Exact replacement for WR09X0489. Pity it doesn't works. Delivery was quick and the box was sealed. However, the unit arrived with the stand-alone pin crooked; when I straightened it out to plug it in, it made a clicking sound. I didn't test it at the time because I didn't want to pull out the frozen food to look at the heater. Bad idea, the unit is as bad as the failed one it replaced. On the plus side, installation was quick, the pins fit easily in the sockets.

Very happy with the purchase
Very happy with it so far. Freezer wasn't getting cold enough and replaced the defrost timer. Pretty simple to replace too.

once I got the old one out, the new one plugged right in.. worked perfectly.. did not fix my icing up problem because in addition to a bad timer, I was low on freon.. oh well.. what cha think its an early 90s model
