I have always loved this product. Easy to use easy to work.

I have a black Kohler cast iron enameled sink which received a chip from a glass bottle that fell from a high cabinet above. The chip was about the diameter of a pea and deep enough that a small chunk came out of the center. I called Kohler and told them that I am not the original owner (warranty), but just wanted to know a product they'd recommend for a patch. Kohler would not recommend anything at all, other than suggesting the entire sink would need replaced.Am I ever grateful I found this product! This stuff worked even better than I'd hoped - the entire chip is completely undetectable! The TRICK TO USING THIS PRODUCT is to apply in many thin coats, letting each coat dry thoroughly (at least 8 hours) before applying the next coat. MOST importantly, use a razor blade, NOT the sandpaper, to level off each coat. With the final coat, if your sink still has a shiny surface (mine doesn't as it is over 13 years old so I skipped this step but tried it out on a small scratch in a shiny area) buff it with something very gentle - I used one of those finger nail buffers ladies use to just smooth the surface of their nails (not the harsh filing side though). The entire process took about a week but it was well worth it - I even used the sink in between coats drying but gave it at least a good hour to dry first. FANTASTIC, it really is undetectable, I only wish I'd taken before and after pictures!
