There are better Scottish cookery books out there but as a travel log with recipes it’s ok.
Disappointed with the recipes contained within book,it read more like a travel log of going around friends food businesses and giving them a mention in return for a recipe. Rightly or wrongly I felt that it was a case of publishers pressure to get another book out.

This is a lovely book, if you live in the Highlands.
March 2022, some of the businesses mentioned seem to have gone, post-covid, but this is still worth a look.

Disappointed
A Tour of people and places rather than ingredients. It has a very different feel to A Taste of Scotland's Islands (same publisher) which seems to have a better handle on local chat and regional taste.

Quality is not what was expected but the content is interesting. I was hoping for more cooking content.
