Works great!
Easy to use and does a great job preserving the wine…when needed.

You never have to open the bottle
This bottle opener as well worth its money. We purchased some nice bottles of wine and wanna be able to test taste them without having to drink the entire bottle. I watched the video and use the quick method. I would recommend using a regular bottle opener if you’re gonna drink the bottle the next day otherwise if you’re taking just one taste, this is the perfect tool to use and have in your wine cabinet.

Good wine saver / expensive argon cartridges
This is a simple and very effective device. The bottle was gone in about a week and a half and the last glass was as good as the first. My only complaint is that the argon cartridges are more expensive than others.

I Used to Hate Wine. Then This Happened…
I cook with wine often, but I’ve honestly never been a big wine drinker. It always tasted too harsh and burned going down — or it was so sickly sweet I couldn’t even finish the glass. Especially when you’re out at a restaurant and they just pour it straight from the bottle… yikes. I have about 50 bottles in my collection right now — some I bought thinking “maybe this will be the one,” others were gifts. But on a recent trip to Cyprus, I finally found a wine I actually liked, and it sparked a little journey into why I liked that one vs. the usual French, Spanish, or South American varieties. Naturally, I fell down the rabbit hole and started buying all these gadgets that supposedly make wine taste better. Honestly? About 95% were total duds — either they didn’t work or had so many tiny parts I knew I’d never use them. Enter the Coravin Pivot Plus Wine By-the-Glass System. I came across it in a review on ATK and thought, “Okay, probably another gimmick,” but I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Not only does it keep my wine fresh for up to 4 weeks (even longer sometimes), but the red wine attachment legit transformed the way my reds taste. I use this almost weekly now — it’s become a key part of my Friday girls’ night dinners and cheese boards. I love it so much I’m actually debating upgrading to their Timeless Three Plus Wine Preservation System. (The main difference? The Timeless uses a needle that slides into the cork, while the Pivot has a thicker tube that fits into special Pivot wine stoppers.) I even got inspired enough to hook up my wine fridge (gifted!) and set up a whole little wine nook in my home bar. P.S. The Pivot stoppers seal really well and — so far — haven’t dripped at all. I’ve currently got several open bottles in the fridge just chillin’ on their sides and ready to go.

Easy to use wine preservation tool
We use these at our tasting room to pour our small, lot reserve wines. This allows us to better control the preservation of the wines. These are very easy to use.

Could not do without it
Some people will tell you that a fine red wine is the same 24 hours after being opened and stoppered. I can not agree. It is not “bad” a day later but it has changed. Not if you use this system. This is a great product. By being careful to only use the gas dispenser for the first 3 glasses or so I can get 12 bottles from one gas cylinder. In other words if 2 glasses remain to be poured on day 2 or 3, I remove the Coravin and simply pour my wine. Also someone on this site claims that Amazon Coravin cylinders are inferior to those supplied directly from Coravin. Don’t believe it. They are identical. Somebody must have gotten a bad lot when they ordered from Amazon. Originally I planed to get the nitrogen dispensing system. Wine Keeper. I used to use that and was happy with it. Now the DOT has added a $40 (thereabouts) surcharge for Nitrogen bottle shipping. Ridiculous.

Good wine reservation system and the stoppers are difficult to remove
It's a good option to keep wine fresh, and it does the job. However, the gas is expensive, and the stoppers are almost IMPOSSIBLE to remove.

Great if you'll finish the bottle over a few weeks or less.
I've used the more-expensive version of the Coravin for years (the one with the needle). It works well, but don't really need to keep the bottle fresh for 3 years after I've poured a glass. This one is simpler to use, easier to clean, and works well for a few weeks. It also uses more (very expensive) argon than the needle version.

While I like the ritual of decanting wine, the built-in aerator makes even the cheapest of wines taste better than they do from the decanter. I use it on even the cheapest of wines because it preserves them and makes them taste great -- even days later. The Coravin is way more effective than the air pumps that we used to use and results in a much better experience. I strongly recommend it to everyone. The only downside is that I now receive a lot of ads for Coravin telling me that they have 30% off sales running, etc.

Other than being slightly awkward to pour with, this item delivers as advertised. The wine remains fresh, we've had open bottles that are as fresh 1 week after opening as they were when they were newly opened. An open bottle rarely last more than a few days at my house as they are typically emptied quite quickly, so I cant speak to the manufacturers claim of 4 weeks freshness. I will continue to practice my pouring technique!
