2022 CFA Program Curriculum Level I Box Set
Expected a slightly out of date level I CFA 6 volume set, at a discount, and that's what I got. Looks like new or near new condition, so that works for me.

CFA Level One
I received all volumes in one carton from CFA institute. this carton is also packed by another carton. printing is good in light blue color. papers are thin and not the best quality. printing is excellent in different fonts and impress. Overall, excellent for CFA preparation

Good condition
Product came in great condition. The books can be a little confusing with definitions but investopedia is a great resource for clarification.

Necessary, but not sufficient on its own...
This set of books - six in total - are probably some of the most well-written books on investing, and related subjects, that I have ever read. I have skipped around a little bit as I have looked at these, but for the most part, I have found each "reading" (there are 60 of them in level 1) to be well written, and perhaps most importantly, they do not require you to search outside of these books for supporting information. Additionally, there are sets of problems at the end of each reading and there are answers for each problem, along with explanations. You also will find problems within the readings, and they contain answers and explanations as well. It's unfortunate that textbook manufacturers don't publish all the answers like this.I would suspect that most people who want to take the CFA exams are aware of the fairly low pass rates, particularly in recent years and might even be a bit intimidated by that. When I purchased this set of books, I paid about $200 for them and I viewed that as a reasonable investment to prepare for the exams. In a worst case scenario, I'm only out $200.The problem with that line of thinking is that the books themselves aren't really self-contained. I have found two sections were you are pointed to the CFA website for additional material. The first place where I found that was in the economics section. Worse, in this instance, what it points you toward on the website is only available to folks who have already, or will, pay the fee to enroll. The second area that I have found, thus far, is on the section on investment performance standards. The book clearly states that you are responsible for additional material in this section and provides a link. This material is not behind a paywall but you may be dismayed to see it's about another 150 pages of material. I found that discouraging given the thousands of pages of material already present in level one.Since I have only gone through a handful of the readings, I cannot say for sure if there are, or are not, any additional readings that are required outside of the books. These books are fairly priced compared to other vendors' study materials/programs. However, the fact that I can't study all the materials in their entirety without committing over a thousand dollars to sign up for the first level is a problem that may lead me to not pursue this path.

Typos typos typos
I will update once I take the exam in November but as I’ve been working through this workbook I’ve noticed numerous typos and the end of chapter question answers don’t always align with the correct multiple choice (the correct answer is A, the book says it’s C but provides the description of A). If this persists I’ll be sure to invest more money in a 3rd party platform than buy the next series of books again.

Horribly Written. Use Other Resources..............
I ordered this set, hoping to take the CFA Exam. Shipping was lightening fast. However, starting with Volume I ("Quantitative Methods"), I discovered that this series is TERRIBLY written. The language is "high academic," and confuses more than clarifies. The first volume, for example, covers the Time Value of Money (TVM) and basic statistics. Utter rubbish. These topics are NOT complicated (I know -- I've studied them extensively), yet God help the newbie who uses this manual. Descriptions of concepts are verbose, opaque, and mind-numbingly dull. A real shame, because quantitative methods are actually very cool and NOT that complicated. Learn from my mistake: Look around on the web for TONS of FREE resources..........
