These were perfect for an antique crate i picked up. It was too heavy to move around without any feet, so I purchased these casters to easily roll it around. These are very sturdy casters and roll around well on all types of flooring. Would buy again for sure!

Perfect fit for my 65 year old dresser. Love the wooden wheels. Exact match for original 'plastic' wheels. I did not use the stem casing included with the wheels, simply pushed the stem into the existing casing. The wheels are not fitted in tight, but that's my choice as I opted to use existing casing as my dresser will not move from its location. But love the look! Someday, I will switch out the original wheel casings for the new ones. Thanks!

I bought an antique librarian's desk for my class but needed to be able to move it on occasion. To be fair, it is fairly heavy. But it also has 5 legs, so I figured the weight distribution over multiple wheels would probably be ok. It was not. Luckily, the wheels are not so expensive that I can't purchase more. And the look of them trumps the possible breaking and re-buying. I would recommend them to almost anyone.

I needed to replace the wheels that were originally on the hope chest I inherited. These fit exactly. And they actually roll better than the originals. Perfect fix!

We have an (almost) antique dining room table. I say almost because, my wife had the thing totally refinished. That more or less took it out of the 'antique' category. Now, it's just a very old table that looks like a brand new one. There is one thing that is still 'old' about it. It is a 6 leg trestle table that's on wheels. Not very easy to find these days. So, when the old original wooden wheels broke, I got these new 'old' ones from Sheppard. They look almost exactly like the originals. The table is complete again. Good purchase. Five stars.

One roller wood broke, but I used the metal and made a new sheet, old one had a knot.

Sooooo these look nice...but don't roll. Since that is their only purpose, they get 1 star. We put these on a tiny rolling island in our kitchen. It's very light and the flooring is laminate, so it shouldn't have any problems rolling. They are not stained like picture - raw wood. I'm pretty sure the were modeled after the first wheel invented by cavemen. They aren't even perfectly round. ????? AWFUL.
