works great! wish price a little lower
I looked at many other options to avoid paying the high price on this product. However, it works great. You just pair it with your phone and any time you want to tape a call just make the call or receive the call through mynah while it's paired and the entire conversation is perfectly sounding and time dated and logged in phone. I have not yet downloaded my calls to my laptop but the recorder has plenty of memory. There was a cheaper option but it looked like too much a hassle. If you need to record calls frequently, don't mess around and get this product. I do wish the price would be closer to $100.

you end up with a screen that looks like a cracked window with backlighting
Please read before you buy. The recorder works via Bluetooth with most cell phones. After you establish a connection, your present phone's functions are transferred to the Mynah. You use Mynah to actually dial, receive calls and talk. Your existing phone is just a transmitter to your networks cell towers at this point. It actually is a clever design and offers many features including a beep tone if you want it. You can choose what calls to record. Here's the reason for one star- ok, I have been use testing several of these and one recently developed a cracked display. The unit has a flexible touch screen with Mylar type keyboard that is above the level of the aluminum rigid sides. Apparently, if even slight pressure is applied to the front of Mynah at the wrong place, there is a LCD rigid panel underneath that cracks??? Now remember, the phone has a keyboard that is meant to be flexed on bottom half of front. What happens is, you end up with a screen that looks like a cracked window with backlighting. NOW, THE VERY IMPORTANT STUFF- unit supposedly carries a one year limited warranty. When I contacted Call Mynah USA, in California, I was told by the service mgr. that they don't repair out of warranty units and that in warranty coverage actually ran for 15 months FROM DATE UNIT WAS MADE IN CHINA. THEY ASK FOR SERIAL NUMBER. MINE WAS BOUGHT A YEAR AGO FROM SCHARF BOUGHT MANUFACTURER SAID IT WAS MADE A YEAR EARLIER IN 2012. SO, MY UNIT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY WHEN I GOT IT FULLFILLED BY AMAZON! When you buy one, there is no date code. If Scharf was selling old inventory on Amazon, no warranty. The design on this unit is genius. The execution is terrible. The manufacturer told me to not carry the Mynah. Keep it at home. Or in my car. Well in Cincinnati, my car interior goes to 120 in the summer. And this is designed for handheld phones so??? Bottom line- durability is NOT ACCEPTABLE. WARRANTY IS NON EXISTANT. SELLER AND DISTIBUTOR ARE NON RESPONSIVE AND OR RUDE. BUYER BEWARE. Now one very POSITIVE POINT- Amazon interceded for me and refunded the purchase. They did not have to. This is why I buy from Amazon, This is the finest company I have done business with. They are pro consumer. I don't own any stock. I just think Amazon will protect you. You will have to persist. But, they eventually listen. As to buying Call Mynah, you better carry it in a hard body eyeglass case. Don't wear in a pouch on your belt. Don't touch screen, literally. Lightly touch keyboard. And pray

Great Idea, Very Poor Execution
There have been several issues with the software, in particular, it loses the date and other information that should be saved to it when the battery dies. Another issue is that sometimes it dumps all the recordings for no reason and you cannot retrieve them. I have found that as long as you keep the battery charged and download your recorded calls immediately there are no issues but I can say that if I can find another product that does the same thing as this one, I will definitely be looking at it to replace this one. Also, The "warranty" is only from date of manufacture, not date of purchase and mine, like some other people here was out of warranty when I bought it.

Nice Call Recorder
Item works well. Was easy to link up with a smart phone. Use is a little confusing. You have to talk through the recorder instead of the phone which seems a little odd, but it works. Unit and phone need to be kept within a few feet of each other, or the recorder will start beeping to indicate weak bluetooth reception.Overall pleased with the unit

EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED
I ordered this device to protect myself in a legal matter I am going through. It was extremely user friendly, the computer transfer of the digitally recorded calls is infinitely simple, and the product was exactly what it was advertised to be. The Bluetooth functions flawlessly and the sound on the recording is crystal clear with nearly no background noise at all (unless you have loud noise during the call, i.e. while driving). I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to be able to record their cell phone calls.

Incompatible with iPhones
I love the idea of this product but it simply doesn't work with my iPhone 4. I have the latest firmware installed on the device but I cannot understand people with whom I am talking, even when they are on a landline. The audio distortion is simply terrible and they sound completely garbled. I have written the company about this. I will update this review based on customer service, but for now, I strongly recommend against use with an iPhone. It's a shame, as this had so much promise.Update 9/7/12: I received the new unit today from the manufacturer. It is just as bad as the previous one and useless if you have an iPhone. No one can understand what I'm saying and I can't understand anyone in return. Also, I'll mention that the build quality is simply terrible and this feels likes a child's toy. Still, I would have been happy if it worked.

Not work with my iPhone 4 or Galaxy Nexus I9250
I am not sure that what I got is defective or just this product is working only with some specific phones. It doesn't work with my iPhone 4 or Galaxy Nexus I9250.I tested with iPhone 4 latest version(iOS 5.1.1) and Galaxy Nexus I9250 latest version. And I upgraded the firmware of CALL MYNAH to the latest(V1.2.5).It records my voice and the other person's voice perfectly. But if I initiate call or receive call with CALL MYNAH, the other person can't hear my voice. It means it is impossible to talk with someone with CALL MYNAH.I doubted my phone has some problems. But when I try to use LG HBS-700 bluetooth headset for the test, the other person can hear my voice without any problems.I really need this. However, I cannot help but return CALL MYNAH and get a refund.
