Saved $600!!
Absolutely fantastic... I got it to workout, not train for anything... Just cardio. Glad i saved $600 and opted for this. The box arrived banged up, and some holes, so i was a little concerned... But, everything works great. I wipe the rail down after use with DW-40, and i oil the chain on occasion.

I was really excited to get this. Piece of junk. Have to send it back.
I was really excited to get this machine. I had watched the Concept2 for over a year hoping it would go on sale. It never did, and I saw this for a lot cheaper, so I bought it.It came today. It is missing the locking mechanism that holds the two main peices together. Also, the difficulty adjustment that goes from 1-10 makes zero difference. No impact whatsoever.Really disappointed. I guess I'll just buy a Concept2, which I should have done initially.Update: Amazon convinced me to have a replacement sent. Exact same problems as the first one. Have to send this one back too.The assembly instructions begin halfway through the process. The locking mechanism to connect the main two parts is missing. The tension dial from 1-10 does nothing. No change in difficulty. Have to get a Concept2 instead.Update#2: I was confused at how the tension dial didn't make a difference on two different machines, so I thought maybe something was disconnected. I took the cover off the fan and learned that the tension dial is not connected to anything! Moving the dial does nothing but move the dial. The fact that the tension adjuster doesn't work isn't a manufacturing defect--it's the design. Apparently, they never intented there to be 10 different levels of difficulty. The dial is only there to fool chumps like me.

Great rower! Well built and solid.
I was hesitant to buy this rower as it had no reviews at the time of purchase, but I was very glad I did. I was planning on buying the Concept 2 and saw this for almost half the price this and I couldn't be happier with it. It is very sturdy even for my buddy that works out with me at over 350 lbs. Having used the Concept 2 in the past for years at a gym you would have a very hard time telling them apart if you didn't know which was which. There are subtle differences but none that effect the ability to row and get a great workout.

Not what it seems. Just get a Concept 2
The rower, although steardy and easy to put together, does not preform like it should. The tension is too high and pulls you back into the rower. The screen has no back light so its hard to see in a my garage, even with the lights on. The counter is not accurate. I am a above average rower, and this rower counts meters very very slow. I can row 500m in less the 90 seconds, on this rower it takes more then twice as long to get to 500m. It is very annoying and distracting.I returned this product and just bought a C2 from Rogue. It was the better route to go.

Can’t make any performance claims as it came with completely broken flywheel housing.
