AWESOME KNIFE!!!
This knife is tiny and that is absolutely something is has going for it. As far as quality, I have to say this is top notch. It came truly razor sharp and holds its edge very well. I’ve only had to sharpen it twice in the few months I’ve had it, but will admit this is not an everyday knife carry for me, but would be fantastic as an EDC knife. The shape and weight of the knife is pretty perfect as well giving it a beautiful look and very functional, allowing it to be very easy to control when making intricate cuts. When I first opened it up I thought it wouldn’t be worth what I paid for it, I was very wrong. It comes with a well made Kydex sheath that it solidly clicks into. Highly recommend this knife and can confidently say you will not be disappointed. No one paid me for my review and I did NOT receive any free products for my review.

Love it. Simple Utility EDC
This is just a perfect everyday utility knife. I came onto Amazon to pick up the blacked-out version. I lost the first one out of my golf bag about a year back. Ordered another. Thin bladed full flat wharnie = slicing machine. love the thinned out tip for fine controlled cuts. I do sometime get a little too deep...but that's me and not the knife. The knife geometry wants to go, so understand that you have a slicing knife in your hand not a dinner knife. Love that it's slim and light weight. I carry it daily. This is one of the best kydex sheaths that I have used as well. it springs out with authority and for EDC pocket carry, the taco style works best. Lovin the Artisan RPM-9 so far. Strop only since I've owned it and it comes right back to paper/shaving sharp...also, easy with the straight edge to maintain. I don't know what edge angle Emler has Artisan putting on these, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were16-17degrees or less per side. I do own sharper knives, but they are also not $40. Which btw also adds to the daily carry, because if I snap a tip or lose it...buy another. Throw one in the toolbox, throw one in the glove box, throw one in the scissor drawer, golf bag...you get the idea. Thanks Artisan! Thanks Mr. Emler! Love it!

Knife, 5 stars, kydex, not so much.
The knife is 5 stars! For the size, the sharpness along the blade and tip is crazy sharp! If you need a good EDC utility blade sharp out of the box for a budget, this is perfect. My ONLY grievance is the sheath. It's not a deal breaker, but there is some raddle if you use it as a neck knife. Other than that, definitely worth it!

Fantastic fixed edc
This ArtisanCutlery Sea Snake fixed blade looked to be an upgrade to the CRKT Spew I’ve carried for some time. Well, it IS! The photos here compare the two. Only a slight bit larger than the crkt, the size is perfect. The proprietary powder steel, AR-RPM9, is still their “budget steel” but is supposed to meld the best traits of D2 and stainless. It came just “fairly” sharp, but a couple licks on the crock sticks and RaZor - this, an improvement over the crkt’s 5cr15 steel, which is way budget. Scales are G10 and surprisingly smooth. The sea snake’s sheath is actual kydex (**in photos, here, with an added teklok** - it comes with only a lanyard) a step up from molded plastic. The fit and finish are wonderful, although mine did have a tiny nick on the spine you could feel with a thumbnail. The forward finger choil is useful and offers more grip options. The whole piece is just sleek and gorgeous. The Alan Folts designed Spew is still a great knife and a great deal at $20. The sea snake is $40 here (and yes, add $10 for a teklok). The sea snake is certainly an upgrade from the spew, but is it twice as good? Yes. It is…but, just barely w/o its own teklok. Update: 2023. I have Edc’d the Sea Snake regular since purchase and love it. The crkt spew is clocking in at $42 these days! The artisan SS has held at $39. This one is now the bargain.

The nearly Perfect EDC Fixed Blade
Guitar Pick for size reference I generally dislike folders, so Ive been looking for an EDC fixed blade. Saw this knife on several reviews, and watched the video the knife designer posted. First, the knife is super light, barely noticeable at all. The Kydex sheath is fantastic, and as you can see I have the Ulti Lock 3 on it (Get the slim). Sharpened up pretty easily and held an edge while I processed materials from my day job. Adaptations Ive made as I carried: The Ulti Clip needs set higher than the start of the handle. Its a bit top heavy, and actually rolled out of my pocket until I moved it to the current spot. I have larger hands, so while having the cutout for the full 4 fingers gripping the blade is great Im 99.999% sure someday I'll cut myself using that. Highly recommend this for the value. I'll be checking out other similarly sized knifes up to the $100 level, but this has set a very high standard of what I should expect for an EDC Fixed blade

Sharpest knife I've ever owned
I wasn't sure if I'd like this knife and it was a little smaller than I imagined but, in the end, I love it. It is much lighter when hanging around my neck then I thought it would be. Blade retention is pretty much perfect. I don't think it would ever come out unless you wanted it to. The thickness of the blade may concern some but it seems very strong and well made. Last but not least, it is the sharpest knife I've ever owned, out of the box. I've never successfully been able to cut very flimsy paper (via the so-called paper cut test) with a knife out of the box except with this one (and I've been on this planet for 50 rotations!). Highly recommended. 👍👍

Great Fixie
This thing is crazy pointy/sharp and easy to carry/deploy. Sheath is good. I use a static line front pocket carry. I find the scales a little thin but that matches the lightweight easy to carry mandate for this knife. Very good design.
