Heavyweight pan and the ridges on the bottom help to make a perfectly crisp and flaky crust!
This is an amazing pie pan. For my entire life, I have been making apple pie in a glass pyrex dish because that's just what I grew up with. It wasn't until a couple of weeks ago when I was watching Preppy Kitchen baking something (not an apple pie) where he mentioned that if you want a crisp crust, you need to use a metal pie dish but for pies that don't require that, use a glass or ceramic pie dish, that it occurred to me that I should use a metal pie dish. My bottom crust is never as crisp as I like, and this seemed like such an obvious solution. Anyway, fast forward a couple of weeks and I randomly picked this one because I've liked other USA Pan baking dishes. I made my standard apple pie for Christmas and the bottom crust was delicious! Crispy and flaky, not soggy at all. Something about the ridges on the bottom help, I think. This is a heavyweight aluminum pan - nothing flimsy about it at all. Makes a standard size pie. Great value for the cost and I suspect this pan will hold up for many years. Love it!

Best Pie Pan
This is the best pie pan I have ever used. Makes perfect crusts and releases the contents easily. High quality, well made and very sturdy. Cleans up a dream. Will be ordering more for myself and gifting.

A Heavy-Duty Pan for Perfect Pies
This pie pan is of unbelievable quality. The thick metal construction feels incredibly sturdy, which is a testament to its professional-grade design. The pan is made of aluminized steel, and has never warped in my oven and is coated with a non-stick layer for easy cleanup. For anyone who bakes regularly, this is a premium pan that is well worth the investment for its durability and excellent performance.

How have I lived this long without this pan!
THIS is the pie pan I should’ve had from the age of age of twenty, when I first began to cook. THIS is the well made, heavy pan that helps ensure a crisp crust with a cooked bottom. THIS is the kind of pan I would leave my grandkids. From a 70+ year old lady who loves baking pies!

USA Pans!!!
As the brand name suggests, these pans are made in the USA completely. I'm happy to report that all the pans in their line exhibit the same high quality. We can still make products in this country that run all over the off-shore competition. All the pans have dimpled bottoms, and sometimes sides as well, to improve baking action and keep food from sticking. All pans have Americoat non-stick coating, which their literature assures me contain no PFE's or Teflon-type plastics of any kind. I don't know what this coating is but it's really durable. I often use metal utensils with the baking sheets and the pans just don't seem to scratch. It doesn't look like a coating at all, more like it's part of the metal. What you'll notice most about all of these pans is their weight -- these are probably the heaviest baking pans I've ever used. Yet they don't seem to require any longer to heat up than lighter weight pans. The silvery color does not impart any darkness to crusts. Chocolate chip cookies on my dark-color cookie sheets always come out really dark brown on the bottom, but with the USA Pans they come out perfect. I'm not a great baker, but even I can turn out pretty tasty foods with these pans. These pie pans, for example, cook the bottom crusts on apple pies just a little bit crisp, which I think is perfect. Cooking on the middle rack, pies get done in the middle at the same time that the crusts are done. I'd rather leave the pastry baking to the lady of the house, and she swears by these pans for pies, cookies, and cakes. We ended up buying nearly the entire line, which is pretty extensive. I like to use the larger sheets for cooking meats and potatoes in the oven and these pans excel at that too. No matter what we've cooked in them, nothing really seems to stick that doesn't come right off, so the coating seems to do its' job quite well. These are not the cheapest pans available, but they're not the most expensive either. But they are definitely the best baking pans we've ever used regardless of price. I can't rate them above a 5 or I would. I recommend the entire line to everyone.

What I liked the most was the quality of the items
What I liked the most was the quality of the items. What I didn't like was one of the pie shell had a slight "ding" on it but not, in my opinion worthy to return item. Nevertheless, pie pan is well built, heavy, and thick enough to reach temperature and cook dough perfectly without over-cooking. You can feel the smoothness on the surface of the metal to know dough sticking to metal will not happen. Also, do your best not to scratch the inner surface of the pie pan to ensure baked goods will not stick as they bake.Use of silicone, wood, or plastic knives to cut into pie is recommended.

Easy release pie tin
This is the best pan I have ever had for pie crust..and I am 77 years old! The browning aspect for pie crust is great and easy removal of the baked item.

VERY slick but works really well.
This is a great pan and has the most slick non-stick property I have ever experienced. In fact, if I were to criticize it, it would be that it's material is SO slippery to the touch that on more than one occasion the pie nearly slid out of my grip in the middle of serving it during Thanksgiving dinner (yikes). It is slightly deeper than a normal pie pan, but due to the slope of the sides, it doesn't really hold any more than you might think. I bought this for a recipe that suggested this exact pan due to the amount of pie filling and it was nearly overflowing by the end. I wasn't even able to put the final layer on the pie (flavored whipped cream) and had to resort to putting it on the individual pieces after cutting and plating.
