Enjoyable flavor
This is the first time I’ve tried Liberica beans. Coffee was fresh and I got good feedback from friends who drank this coffee as well.

Great Liberica beans!
Mellow sweet coffee. So hard to find these beans. Arabica beans are good, but these are so sweet and nutty. No bitter acid!

At first it has a funky flavor but then incredibly changes to a high quality Chocolate flavor
When you first use this coffee, the coffee will have the only to describe it as that kinda poop-like flavor you get from the aftertaste of Hershey's chocolate but that stops after a couple of days of oxidization as the flavor then converts to a high quality chocolate cake then just high quality chocolate afterwards. Would highly recommend for coffee connoisseurs.

Weakest coffee
The coffee is weak weak weak what a disappointment. Beans were well ground and made in a French coffee maker, also tried cooking on the stove using a glass coffee carafe used more coffee than required 'cause I like a stronger coffee. My wife and I had a hard time finding the coffee flavor... :-) LOL what else can you do!!!

Likely stale
This was my first time trying liberica coffee, and I was really hoping to get a good sense of what it would taste like, however I think that my batch wasn't fresh enough, it smelled as if it had long since off gassed and was getting pretty close to the expiration date in about a month or so. What a shame. I really really wanted to try something new. Maybe next time I'll try Robusta? I definitely think coffee should be bought in person; you never know what your going to get, it could be sitting there for months before it gets sold. If only there was a way to select fresher produce, I don't think I will be buying coffee online again, too much of a gamble. Luckily there are a lot of great coffee places in Las Vegas, and I even saw Liberica coffee at an Asian market a couple days ago. Maybe one day I'll get lucky and find something fresh in one of the Asian markets in Las Vegas.I gave 3 stars because the company was responsive to a message I sent, otherwise it would probably be 1 star, cause bad is bad, which this coffee unfortunately is in my opinion.

Kinda funky, but perfect for coffee affecionados
This coffee has beans from the rare, 3rd species of the plant that is sometimes used to make consumer coffee. It's terrific. Very opinionated, and a bit funky--but I have had a hard time drinking any other coffee after trying this.

This Kapeng Barako is really good coffee. Just like it is in the Philippines!
