Ok updating my review. The cartridge appears to work; however, I needed to get a firmware update (took nearly a month to have Evapolar get the latest firmware pushed to the unit though ugh) to get it working. Originally I was getting a CART-ERR message whenever I would add the tank on with this new cartridge. After the firmware update got applied everything worked just fine. So super important folks, 1) Make sure your phone is connected to the unit 2) Make sure you're running the latest firmware, if not you'll need to contact Evapolar support (which has a two week turn around time for one message ugh)

My old cartidge was used and nothing on Amazon France, so i have no other choice than order it in the USA. Thank you so much. Hint : FORGET UPS, bad delivery drivers.

CONTRO - il prezzo. --- In dettaglio --- Dopo più di due anni di utilizzo (soprattutto nel periodo estivo) l'evaSMART mi ha segnalato la necessità di sostituire la 'cartuccia' EvaBreeze al suo interno. La scatola della nuova cartuccia riporta con pochi disegni, pur nella sua semplicità, le operazioni da seguire nel cambio: 1) togli il serbatoio, 2) apri lo sportellino; 3) togli la vecchia cartuccia e metti la nuova; 4) richiudi lo sportellino; 5) rimetti il serbatoio. Finito! Unico neo, come noto, il prezzo non proprio economico del ricambio.

This works as it should, wicking up water so that the machine can send out cooled air. Taking the machine apart is a little tricky, but actually simple and not unmanageable... it just took me a bit of time to figure out the instructions. We've had this in our bedroom to help cool us at night, quietly. This machine will not work in humid environs, but is great when average humidity is on the low side; it's just the way a swamp cooler works.
