Michael and Me: The Untold Story of Michael Jackson's Secret Romance

An excellent read and I had a hard time putting it down. Finished this in a weekend. If you think this is a tabloid novel, then the haters will possess you, unless you change the number on your Dail. If you listen to them, you are doing yourself a disservice. Before I get heavy in this review, one thing I need to say is that if you don't allow yourself to be distracted by Michael you will see lots of wisdom in this book, read the book as a whole and look at it like a picture. Michael is only a key piece.There is a lot going on in this book and some parts get so spicy that it even feels like an erotic novel. It's one thing to hear people give their opinion or hype this up on Youtube but wayyyyyyyy better to read it for yourself, nobody scratched the surface. Many times, I was like "woooowww really? why is MJ not in the movie Friday?".You are going to be gripped and taken on a fun rollercoaster ride. When dealing with someone on the level of MJ it's dang near like movie in itself, I'm surprised nobody offered to make this into a movie yet.You will learn not only a lot about Michael Jackson, but Hollywood in general, and how to conduct yourself in said environment. You will also learn more about the female psyche. This book also very inspirational and you can see this is an extremely intelligent woman and not a brainless groupie. This book shows the human side of Michael and keeps him and Hollywood grounded in reality (many readers with dreams of being Hollywood will possibly walk away from this more grounded), you may even respect MJ more in some cases after reading certain parts. Another thing I got from this book is that if you are a man that is fed up with the women of today, Shana's love for Michael will give you hope that there is a woman out there that walk-through fire for you.This is a great book for empaths and deep thinkers, not a book trying to capitalize on Michael Jackson's name and nothing in this book is sugar coated and there is no MJ worship either. She loves him and will talk about him like only someone that is close to someone can. She tells it like it is and she has been through it all and has no grey hairs either, she talks about it as it came to her and she understands how he ticks better than his highest paid Psychiatrist ever will.Thats the key reason why this a great read, there was a connection, anybody trying to make this seem like "Billy Jean" wrote it is either dishonest or naive, especially with all the photo proofs in this book. One can't describe another with this level of accuracy if there was no connection.Whether you are a MJ fan or just want to study him there is no reason you miss out on this! Nobody will teach you more about a dude you admire or find cool like a woman that love him. A great read whether you care about celebrities or not.

So where do I begin. I know as I begin to write this I will be attacked with hate. But that never stopped me before. A little about who I am first for a better understanding. I am an active member in the Michael Jackson fan community. I have fought for Michael for many years. Beginning with the first allegations and still fighting. I have loved and supported Michael since the early 80’s. I was involved with Uncovering Michael Jacksons Name from Gardner, who named their auditorium after him, then covered it after the allegations. I have met, talked, gotten to know and became good friends with many who either knew him or met him. I, myself was not fortunate enough though. I say all this to inform you my review is from a very good perception. I know a a lot about him and many situations. With all that said this is MY opinion as no one knows for sure.So now the review. I am believing and trusting what Shana says in her book Michael and Me. No one knows 100% except Michael, who is no longer here, and Shana. Knowing what I do know, she speaks from the heart as well as the truth. She did not exaggerate her relationship, which she could have. She was very honest. I believe she is getting so much hate because for some reason people, especially fans, just can't believe or accept Michael could do and feel that way about a women and actually have a relationship like that with a woman. They are closed minded and just want to see him as they perceive him. However, we must live and accept reality.I personally think Michael is the closest we will ever get to an example of God. No I am not saying he is God but he possessed many traits that were just like God. He was truly one of a kind. We have and never will see that in another person I believe. He not only touched the world but actually changed it AND made a difference. And still is for that matter.Shana has shown proof for what she stated. Where is the proof that she is not telling the truth. First of all, the negative reviews as well as hate toward her, let me ask you one question? Did you read the entire book? Another question, did you KNOW Michael? Then who are you to judge. Yes, many write books as well as other things to "make money" off of his name. BUT that does not mean everyone does. There is so much more she knows and could show us, but she didn't. She chose to show only what was necessary. She is backed by several very reputable people. Again, where are the reputable people backing the opposite. I met and knew Karen Faye. With all do respect, because she says she did not see Shana does not prove Shana was not there. NO ONE had complete knowledge or access to Michael but his kids.Why do people immediately denounce her book. It's like what media and others did to Michael. Said he was guilty before knowing ALL the facts. Is that not what people are doing to Shana as well as others. Read the book and do your OWN research. IF you can prove something wrong, please let me know and I will be the first to admit I was wrong but as for now, my opinion stands. We need to not be ignorant and closed minded. I was when I was younger and it costed me a lot. I am confident in who I am that if someone is closed minded and just because we don't agree on something, will turn their back on me, then so be it. But I can agree to disagree and still love you. I am after QUALITY NOT QANITITY. I am and have always been about LOVE and TRUTH. I have called many out before and would again. But like I said if you have PROOF this book is not true, I am open to discussion. (Yes I stole that from Eminem lol)I believe this book is very well written. It is enlightening as well as entertaining. I felt like I was taking the journey Shana took. I felt close to Michael. I had already heard and knew that Michael loved woman, was sexual, drank, yes took pills, etc. I also believe and know is my heart he would act as she stated. Flirting like high school kids. I also believe he didn't want anyone to know. If it came out do you know how much hate and unwanted attention she would have received. He was protecting her. And how do you know there are no other pictures of her and him. She loved him as a person, not Michael Jackson the star. She didn't want to be like, can I have a picture. She wanted to treat him normal. I know a lot of people around him that don't have pictures, doesn't prove anything. MJ fans are the best fans ever. However I do know SOME are way too judgmental, ignorant, closed minded and can be hateful. We need to live by his example. How can you say you love Michael yet behave the opposite?Some say, why now is she writing, I did as well. Maybe she wanted to for so long and just didn't know or feel it was the right timing. Maybe it is another way to have closure or deal with his passing. There could be several legitimate reasons. How about asking HER? Instead of assuming, taking someone else's word, or just being closed minded? Many are just jealous. I admit I was reading it. How could you not? But I don't let jealousy rule me.Bottom line, give the girl a chance. READ the ENTIRE book, not just excerpts. If you have questions, ask her not someone who was not there. Don't take others word or opinion. Do your own research. Most importantly BE OPEN MINDED. Spread LOVE not hate.

I’ve been having an emotional rollercoaster in the past couple of days trying figure out how I feel about this book. I will say that after reading the book myself, i’ve been reading multiple reviews of others on here to try to form an honest and accurate opinion.At the beginning of the book I was extremely disappointed. The picture she paints of Michael is as if it’s written by someone who doesn’t even like him. *Spoiler* She claims that he has demanded an award everytime he performed at an award show and demanded to be called the King of Pop at every occasion he was introduced. Now let me start with this, MJ was no angel and I never knew him or Shana personally. However, I researched and watched Michael and his work ethic and how incredibly hard he worked and how hard he wanted to succeed and be the best he could. I find it hard to believe that someone of his work ethic, someone who worked this hard and spent a lifetime on perfecting his craft and this driven to achieve the best he could would ask for an award that isn’t earned? Why would he work this hard to then take the easy way out? Why would he put in this much work to not even see if it would pay off? That’s what lazy people do. MJ was not one of them. You can not be the greatest entertainer of all time and be lazy God doesn’t work that way.Even if this is true and he did demand these things I wouldn’t have worded it the way Shana did as it put him in a very bad light making him look like some arrogant dick who believes the world owed him something. So that was extremely disappointing and found it a bit disrespectful.For those that are asking Shana of evidence of the affair, although I understand your frustrations, before you jump at her throat please ask yourself how would you prove you had a romantic relationship with someone? How would you prove that you ever kissed or slept with someone etc these things happen behind closed door for a reason especially for Michael Jackson a man with a level of fame like that can’t just walk around lipsing people in public. These are things we will never find out.Overall it was a good read, but I would’ve preferred Michael being portrayed in a more consistent light. One minute she says he’s the nicest person she has ever met yet there’s multiple times she mentions how rude he treated her sometimes and his staff and although she says Michael was very inconsistent (or bipolar) it sometimes just doesn’t correlate. Shana seems like a lovely girl and I wished she stood up for herself more. I know most fans don’t believe or support her, and although there’s questions in me about parts of this book I believe they had a romantic relationship. Watching her videos and observing her personality it is very close to Michael’s. I can definitely see him liking someone like her, very caring, soft spoken cute and etc. The only thing I found questionable was that none of Michael close friends, associates or any of the Jackson family follow her on any social media platform.

This was a very interesting read, definitely one for the MJ fan. A different and true perspective from a close friend/ lover to the King of Pop! This is a lovely account expressed by the author with alot of inside info and detail.

I really enjoyed this book it was very informative. Will definitely keep to read again
