The Secret Garden (Chiltern Classic) Hardcover – September 7, 2021

When asked what my daughter wanted for Christmas, she told me she wanted "A Book. But not just any book, I want a pretty book." This is the book I picked out for her, and she is thrilled with it. She loves the interactive elements. She loves that it's a "real" unabridged classic. Everyone who has looked at this book while visiting us has been amazed at all of the interactive elements. When I was younger, I used to think I was such a big kid to read novels without pictures, something about Gaston antagonizing Belle about her book choice. But the older I get, the more I appreciate beautiful illustrations in books. They do not detract from the written text, indeed they inhance them. And this book is especially charming. I'm looking to get more MinaLima books moving forward.

Great for young readers, classic message

I'm rather in awe of this author, her ability to write such a sweet, charming, and wise story all in one is amazing! For example: "A thistle can not grow where a rose is tended," referencing how disparing thoughts can not exist where happy ones are prevalent. Lovely story!

A great classic book. Small print and older pictures. There are some prettier copies at Barnes & Noble, but usually cost a little more. This one is a great cost-effective way to introduce this classic novel to your young reader.

Beautiful book. My 11 year old niece was so taken by all of the images and pull-outs in The Secret Garden book. She is very excited about reading it now. She has already asked what other books we can purchase similar to this one. I just ordered Alice in Wonderland today for her.

Reasonable softcover edition of the classic story, illustrated by Tasha Tudor-the perfect illustrations for this lovely tale!

The wife got this for our great granddaughter. They loved it.

Es una edición preciosa de un clásico infantil... infantil para aquella época, porque empieza con toda la familia y entorno de la niña muriendo de cólera. Las ilustraciones, la letra, el papel... es todo una maravilla.

The book is really good. But it has a lot of characters and their backstories so it's a bit confusing... and I got a different cover unlike the one which the picture shows.. the font size of the letters is very small, which makes it difficult to read...

I really liked this style of illustration and it helped to tell the classic story very well to a modern or younger audience.The length of this version of the book is short enough without missing any of the important parts of the story.
