Great bulbs! Love the ambiance of these yellow bug free light bulbs!
Brighter than I expected for the low wattage but I like them very much ! They keep the bugs away on my 8 light posts around my pool , so I can swim at night without being eaten alive by mosquitoes and other bugs. They seem to last ,of course only time will tell . It took about 2 weeks to get these … but it was not the sellers fault … purely 100% Amazon’s fault . Promised 2 day delivery but AMAZON didn’t ship them from the WEST coast to the East coast until the day they were supposed to be delivered. SEEMS TO BE TYPICAL FOR AMAZON THESE DAYS ! I miss the “ old “ Amazon , quality items , fast delivery and excellent customer service but as with so many other things … those days are gone for good I fear. At any rate … I like that this company offers subscriptions for these bulbs so I can save a little and order them as needed . I wish that they came in quantities of more than 2 … but I just order them in multiple packs at a time , still less expensive then purchasing at Lowe’s or Home Depot . They definitely are much brighter than expected but not so bright that they are blinding , they give a nice ambient lighting but still keep the bugs away . Like I said the yellow light is perfect for a little ambiance when skinny dipping at night ! 😉 I recommend these bulbs for any outside light ( porches , decks, hot tub , pool lights ) because they are perfect in their brightness and they do what they claim … they keep away those bugs ! I ordered more for around my hot tub and my wrap around deck and porch lights . I think they are great for having a light on outside but not such a bright white bulb , one that attracts bugs and one that everyone can see everything you do outside ! I caught these on a sale , at a bargain of a deal but even the regular non sale price is a very good deal and fair price for highly functional lights , that do not attract bugs and they really look great and another plus , they are energy efficient at their low wattage ! It’s a win win in my opinion . They work great ! Happy with my purchase!

Note: these are definitely more amber/orange than yellow despite description that says “yellow amber”, so they have a duller tone than what some might expect. But that’s exactly how they are supposed to be! If you’re aiming for bug reduction yellow light doesn’t cut it. I purposefully only replaced one yellow bulb with this amber one to compare, and there were only 2-3 around the amber compared to more than a dozen around the yellow. (Its also worth noting that if you are purchasing these to reduce mosquitoes, they won’t work since mosquitos are attracted to heat and CO2 and scent) The bulbs were a little brighter than I expected for 500 lumens, and I will be getting something more dim instead. But if bright is what you’re looking for then I can vouch for the ability to see clearly about 40-50ft out in to the yard. Despite the brightness I am still giving five stars because they does the job intended, which is reduce bugs around my RV patio and door

good BRIGHT yellow LED bug lights - E26 bulbs (standard or medium base)
NOTE: video is LONG. it is done in real life, no pre or post production, or checking things beforehand, you see it as I see it, no flair added these yellow LEDs are nice and bright! much brighter than my old yellow GE filament bulb I replaced (only done the front so far). not as noticeable on the video but to my own eyes visibly brighter which is what I look for in an LED. I did not rate energy efficiency or longevity as I do not know either. I have been using the bulb for about a week but of course it is an outside light. this porch light is not on much but it is left on for long periods when it is on so hopefully it is efficient. I can't verify that easily. I do not possess such tools. that said my guess it will be a while before it pays for itself. per bulb, even with the prime day savings, they cost a bit per bulb. also, had I done more research before prime day I would have gotten the flame LEDs for the outside lamp instead. do yourself a favor and search them. the normal orange/yellow ones cost about twice as much but add a cool effect and actually some of them are rated brighter than these. 600 Lumens vs 500 Lumens. saw a green set for the same price. they come in multiple colors. now all that said I can say soo far I have seen no bugs around this light. again I have not been using this light long. it is summer though. the old GE filament bulb would have the random bugs occasionally. when I opened the lamp there was quite a few dead bugs at the bottom. will update if any changes. 4 stars is mainly for the cost per bulb. I can not fault these LED bulbs for not being the flame LED bulbs. and some customers might prefer these. (*MADE IN CHINA*)

Works! No more bugs!
I was skeptical about these, but it worked. We have a light right outside our front door and we’re having issues with little flying bugs hovering the door area and getting inside. I decided to try this light out and it worked! The bugs stopped hovering the door and we no longer had them inside. It was crazy! The light is darker, almost like an orange color. it fit perfectly fine in my light fixture outside my door and was easy to install.
