Three Stars
Simple reading and provides good information. Will likely need something more in depth, but a good start.

A good book with easy to follow step.
I tried it on my new puppy and it worked in 7 days. I'd say that was a success. The dogs diet is important and you need patience, but the tips in this book work.

Great crash course to puppy training!
My girl adores dogs and we decided to adopt one as a new addition to our family. Since she made it clear that locking the puppy up is not an option and since im not that knowledgeable on dogs, I decided this book might be of great use. Indeed, it turned out well and i picked up a lot on useful tips not just to train the puppy but also to understand their "language". I got more than what I expected and I'm really happy with the progress our puppy has made in just a couple of days.

A lot of useful information on how to train your pup
A lot of useful information on how to train your pup. I liked the book. It was an easy read and I have implemented some of the training with my pup already. There were a few spots in the book that I feel could have used a little more detail or possibly further examples or methods of attack, just in case the pup didn't respond to the initial training. But, other than that, it was good. Simple.

Good for first time dog owners
It's a good basic guide, I'd recommend to anyone that's never owned a dog before as its always useful to have a guide to help.Though it does just give the basic knowledge - take your puppy out frequently when they're young as they haven't developed bladder control, get into a routine for when you go back to work, and always accept that dogs can and will make mistakes. It isn't impossible to house train your dog in seven days, but even the author emphasises that they are young dogs and we can't expect miracles (as they said themselves, we couldn't hold our bladders as babies either). So it isn't a bad book. If you've had a dog before it's pretty basic knowledge. I bought it as more of a refresher and to see if there's any new knowledge. Wasn't entirely disappointed, I can't say I didn't learn anything at all, so 2 stars for a small gain in knowledge.
