It's a two stroke so it runs loud n proud!! Powerful, buy way more tolerable then the annoying sound of s still blower, as with any gasoline power equipment you should be wearing hearing protection so it shouldn't matter. Nice thing about the unit is it has reward facing exhaust so the boose is deflected away from you. I have owned used Stihl, redmax, Husqvarna blowers, whips, ect.. for 25 years now, and since Husqvarna bought redmax years ago, Husqvarna blowers are just as RAD as redmax has always been known for!!!
