Hi. Honestly, I forget what it does, I think it's for energy. I mix it in with a lot of other powders, in a smoothie, and I hope for the best. I have to say after a few months of drinking my smoothies with all the powders - including Ashwagandha root powder - I'm starting to feel like I have more energy. I've looked it up on line but that was weeks ago and I've forgotten.

short answer: If "Their" 1/2 tsp = 2g then use 2g (get a gram or microgram scale cheap one is fine) Long Answer: /2 tsp of what? , a tsp is a volumetric measure and relies upon the specific gravity of a substance to determine its weight... in other words, the world's best baker can not get the same weight of flour in a cup twice in a row, (think density) so the best answer is to measure by weight... if the dosage says "X" volume = "Y" Weight always go with the weight... because it is a known factor

2 grams in a recommended dose,which comes out to approx 1/2 teaspoon (if you don't have a scale). There are 550 "doses" or servings in the 1 pound (16 oz) bag. Just to address the previous answer to this question, please be very careful with herbs. You can overdose and you can harm yourself. I've seen it happen. Many people think that because they're plants and because they're natural that they are not potent and cannot be dangerous if not used properly.
