- Lone Peak ALL-WTHR low men's trail shoes.
S**N
Waterproof until they’re not.
So Altra lone peaks are incredibly comfortable. I’ve had a few now, and they have all been comfy. But slippy on wet things, but comfy as hell.Downside, each altra I get seems to last less time than the last. The glue stops glueing, the sole disappears quicker. There’s a list of things. I tried the Timp 3, and could barely stand up from slipping over, then the sole came away from the upper. These are no different. So so comfy, but slippy, etc. But the really annoying thing, the E-vent waterproofing buggered up really quick. Not badly, just around the toe box. Classic. This is because (used to work in outdoor shops so really good at “man-splaining”) e-Vent doesn’t stretch, but shoes have to in order to be comfortable. So there’s the head scratcher, as soon as you start walking the event starts ripping. Event is a great product except for this, and as such shouldn’t be used in shoes, I reckon. But I still wear them. They are just too comfortable.Be warned though, they’re not for everyone. The zero drop can cause issues, I spend a lot of time bare foot for work (don’t ask), so they’re great. I’ve got a pal whose had bare knee problems since wearing them.So there you go: comfy, don’t last, not for everyone.

I liked Altra before these sneakers. They are more sturdy that my previous ones and the quality is just a superb . 10/10
