I love stuff from rock exotica. This is the the first thing I was ever disappointed with. If came in calibrated, and with no way to user zero, I was told I would need to return it to get it fixed. Before I did, I went to download the app to try the Bluetooth features only to discover that the app is $30 per device that uses it. For something that is twice the cost of some of its competitors with similar features, I was very surprised at the cost to use the features that it comes with when there are several others that offer the app for free. This isn’t something you NEED to have. For me, it’s a tool to aid with training, and for that to be logistically easy, twenty something crews would need to be able to access the app when they have the device. At $30 a pop, that makes this already expensive optional nice to have device unreasonably expensive. The app shouldn’t cost you anything for basic Bluetooth functions.
