I bought this, because, I have alergies and asthma and had heard good things about purifiers. I also have 2 rabbits and the wood chips from the cage and hay, put out dust. also, our house, for some reason, just gets dusty quickly. no matter how much we clean. you can dust and 2/3 days later, its back. that being said, I got this on sale on prime day and have had it for a month and a half or about that long and I have noticed a big difference in the air quality. I usually let it run 24 7 but, once and a while, I turn it off. the noise isn't bad, I've gotten used to it and keep it on mediam but, just once and a while, I turn it off for the night I vacume the filter about once a week or every 2 weeks with a hose attachment and so far, so good. I sure hope I'm cleaning it right, because, I couldn't find any information about cleaning. the only time I find it to be too loud, is if it's on high. but, I put it on high when I'm going to be out for a while, just in case, it does pick up much more particals on high and that way it's helping, but not drowing out the tv or music I'm playing. I'm happy with this product you can also put it on sleep mode, if you have it in a bedroom and the sound does botherr you. I'm generally a light sleeper and having it on medium doesn't disturb me, unless, I'm just having a bad night and can't sleep, and I might put it on low at those times. it is a touch screen and I'm totally blind, but, find it's not too hard to operate with out seeing it. I may have to tap around a few times till I get it set like I want. but, it's not by any means too horrible. sorry for the long review, but, I wanted to be thurro and share all my opinions, rather than leave something out, that might help someone. if you are truly sensative to new sounds, then give it a try, see how you do and if it doesn't meet your personal preferences, send it back. I'm normally that kind of person, but, adapted easily. but, of course, to each their own. I also, would like to mention, I used to wake up a lot with a stuffy nose, from alergies or whatever, and don't find that happening as offten since I got it and I noticed a change after a little over a week of using it. so, if it doesn't help in a day or two, don't give up. I also have a rabbit, who has alergies and being so small and 3.5 pounds, the vet said there is only so much I can do for her. rabbits, have to have hay as it's 80 percent of their diet so, I can't take that away and even though they usually rome free, they do sleep and eat in the cage just to kee the hay confined to one area. or as much as it can be, since, they do kick it out. sorry, got a little rambly, but, my rabbit, used to stay stuffed up. she still sneezes, and has her off days, but, no where as much as before, and she doesn't sound as congested at all.

I have had good success with the air purifier. It’s relatively small and compact but it gives a lot of air flow at high setting. Low fan speed is very quiet but still moves air. Overnight nice features and worth the money.

We are really happy that we chose the Levoit air purifier for our home. The dust is much less than before and the air smells clean. The air purifier is quiet and doing a great job. It was worth the money that we paid for it and affordable.

First time buying an air purifier and I absolutely loved how simple this was to set up. The filters are huge, I didn't realize how big the unit would be either. The noise level is only loud on the 3rd setting and then it just sounds like a hair dryer on low. Cleaned up the air in my apartment quickly and I loved that you could turn the brightness of the LCD screen off. My only issue is that after one week of use, a burning plastic smell came from the unit and I spent 20 minutes sniffing all electronics in case it was something else. The filter was mostly pure white still, though it did look like it had a tongue of dust collected. The instructions say to not run it nonstop and I had it off during the day most times. When I unplugged it, the fan/motor bits you can see on the inside once the filter is removed still spun for a good minute or two, so that's not good. I do want to reorder this because it's really cool and I love everything about it. I think I just got the faulty one, unfortunately.

Excellent!!! Reviews right on about how quiet the sleep setting. Got the pet filters because here on Maui, we have a Vog air quality problem. This unit has provided me a clean air room to sleep or escape into when breathing becomes difficult. Highly recommend for quality, an user comfort.

This gizmo definitely works, and it may have saved my life. Even as I speak, I'm here living thru the historic 2020 wildfires of Oregon & Washington and am situated in the Portland area where the air quality is currently the worst anywhere on the planet. Being in a 500 s.f. apartment on the top 3rd floor, I couldn't escape some smoke getting into the apartment. It was beginning to cause headaches and generally just making me feel lethargic.So when the unit arrived yesterday at my Amazon locker, I rushed over to pick it up and couldn't wait to plug it in. Following the instructions for smoke pollution specifically in initially working to mitigate the worst of the problem, I ran the unit at full speed for the recommended 20 minutes before turning the speed down a notch. Immediately upon turning on the unit, I could smell the scent of smokey air coming out of the exhaust fan; and because the airflow was concentrated, I could smell the smoke odor more readily than simply breathing the overall ambient air in the room.The smokey odor coming from the exhaust lasted for hours, or all night in fact. I got to the point where I thought it wouldn't go away. But with that in mind, it's important to remember that HEPA air cleaners are NOT necessarily designed to remove foul odors. So if someone in your house has stinky feet, or underarm odor, then probably DON'T expect this thing to do you much good.With that said, though, the fact that this unit has a carbon-activated filter, then it can help to remove smoke odors circulating directly in the air even if it won't remove the odor of smelly feet. The long & short of it here, however, is that I finally just went to bed leaving the unit running all night for the next 8 hours. I had actually given up on the idea that I would stop smelling smoke odor coming from the exhaust fan.But lo & behold, it's the next day here and the smokey odor is indeed gone! I can stick my nose right into the path of air coming from the exhaust fan and it smells fresh & clean.So the take on this, obviously, is that there was apparently just a LOT of very fine smoke particles inside the apartment; and as such, it took a good long time to ultimately filter it out after making dozens of passes through the filtration system. That and the fact that there is still some smoke entering the space on an ongoing basis, it took this little machine a lot of work to catch up to the problem and get ahead of it.No feeling of a headache coming on so far today. I woke up feeling like my old self again, just feeling energized after a good night's sleep instead of feeling groggy & dopey from breathing in contaminated air all night.Now, whereas the listed "effective range" of the unit is only 219 s.f. and my apartment is 500 s.f., it also took that much longer to circulate the air a sufficient number of times to actually cleanse it. And there's nothing much I can do about that personally, since I don't have room for a much larger machine or even to accommodate two of these machines.As far as the noise level of the unit, it's fine with me and even on the #2 speed setting is quieter than my stand-up oscillating fan. The #3 speed is fairly loud, but I'll just be running it on #2 from now on anyway during the day.When I went to bed last night, I put it on #1 really just to help give the fan motor a rest, but not because #2 was too loud for me. And I haven't actually used the sleep setting, because there's no reason to right now anyway. So I can't give an opinion on that.But all the same, I will leave this thing running FULL TIME until it either burns out or until this smoke finally goes away. Even then I'll just leave it on the #1 speed indefinitely until it dies on me and then I'll buy a new one.But I'm "sold American" on this thing! It works!! And you can ask anybody, because I don't write many reviews (good or bad) on products I buy from Amazon. That's my bad, because I should write more reviews than I do and the problem is that I'm just plain lazy.But I was certainly compelled to do my duty here and write a review on this machine. It's a real lifesaver IMO...🤗
