Quality, price, build
Philips lights are Top Notch - high quality and built to last! Recommended

No noise
Love the bulb. Only 7 more required for my living room. Bought one just in case as I've bought other dimmable bulbs and they buzz really loud. This one was perfect and got lower brightness than the old halogen.

Works as direct replacement of halogen, but not energy rated A
The good news is this LED bulb worked fine to replace the standard halogen bulb without any modifications to the system. However, the box clearly shows the energy rating is G, so I'm not sure why the product description on Amazon says it's A. Very misleading.

The bulbs are great but not A Energy rated as advertised, they are G rated

Tolles Produkt, vor allem zu dem Aktionspreis. - Nur schade, dass pro Kunde nur 5 Stück abgegeben wurden. Schon praktisch wenn die Gattin ein eigenes Amazon-Konto hat :-) Auch ein gutes Beispiel dafür, sich vor dem Austausch der konventionellen Hallogenspots darüber schlau zu machen, ob denn die Anlage mit einem Ringkerntransformator oder einem elektronischen betrieben wird. Letzterer benötigt bekanntermaßen eine Mindestlast - sonst bleibts dunkel! Der Endbennutzer bekundet hohe Zufriedenheit.

It was a frustrating journey but I'm very happy to have found these philips spots. Many 12v dimmable spots have the issue that they are very flacky to dim, e.g. you have to turn them to 10% first and then to 5%, if you want to get from 100% to 5% you have to do this in careful steps etc. These philips ones you can even turn on at 1% and they just work and it's interesting how they did that: They spot consists of multiple single leds and per voltage level some just get switched off completely, which is also why I guess there is no 3watt version as it's not needed. An odd choice in my opinion is that instead of all leds having the same white tone, the ones that switch on when dimmed down are warmer than the rest, making the light at <10% warmer than above. the older ones from osram used to just won't turn on under 10-15% and if you quickly change them 10% to 5% they just go off. The new osram (ledvance) added a new frustration: 1-2 sec before they switch on. These philips ones are a big contrast to all that, as you can even switch them on at 1% without issues or delays.
