It's hard to get purple lights, and I don't blame the manufacturers for not getting it quite right because the only way you're really getting purple from an incandescent is for them to be very dark. The black strings of purple lights sold at Halloween are the only true purples I've found, but they don't put off a lot of light. I like to keep cheery purple lights around my living room and bedroom windows year-round, and the usual pink-looking purple is fine for me, but these actually approach a more purple shade than most. For comparison, the second picture attached shows the previous set of purple lights I purchased (Northlight). I've had the previous set up on both windows for almost two years, and half of the living room string burned out about 6 months ago and then finally died completely last week. Hopefully these will last at least as long. (The set I had before these, also Northlight, lasted five years of coming on with a timer every night from dusk to 1 am. You can't expect that anymore, it seems.)

I am satisfied with the lights, but I would think someone who is looking for strictly purple lights wouldn’t be too happy as these ones look way more pink when turned on. The little plastic covers themselves are purple, yes, but I guess the way the light shines through them is what makes the color brighter. That aside, the lights themselves are standard cheap Christmas light quality. I wouldn’t expect these to last years, but perfect for what I need for them now. Would recommend.

Warm white glow, not too bright -- just right. Much nicer light quality than LEDs.

Lights were exactly what I needed and came promptly. I have a white Christmas tree which I put light blue lights on. Alas, only one of the three strings I had had white wires so the wires of the other two ruined the effect. The new light set worked perfectly with the one I already had.

These lights arrived very quickly. They are very bright, lovely and very pink. I bought a power plug to enable me to use the lights on my Christmas tree in Australia. Unfortunately they become very hot very quickly. It’s probably a voltage problem. I cannot use them safely at all.
