Definitely did the job..
Somehow my wife manages to get hair in the bathroom sink. About every 6 months our drain slows down, leaving the sink full of water, shaving cream, and facial hair when I shave. I do not enjoy this.10 feet was definitely enough to reach the clog. It takes only two or three attempts to remove the majority of the clog.. and it was easy enough to clean when I was finished. While I have nothing but good things to say about this product, I want to make it clear that its nothing spectacular.. the price tag should make this a no-brainer.Lastly, I'd suggest putting a towel over the snake as you drag it back out of the drain.. the fact that its a spring makes it susceptible to splashing radioactive sewage hair on your face and shirt. :(

works if used carefully
This is a miniature version of a plumbing snake that can enter smaller pipes. I used it to remove a hair clump in my bathroom sink piping. However, it is difficult to turn the cleaning coil since the handle is on the end (10 feet away from the insertion point). I was able to push it quite far but it got stuck a little when pulling back and bent the coil. I also used it to clean out a condensate drain for my central air conditioner but it couldn't get past the 90 degree elbow. For short runs in gently bending pipe, it works fine.
