Unfortunately, we gave this toy to a friend's son for his birthday. It is an inappropriate toy for young children. It is cute, but when it speaks it tells gruesome stories about killing animals and eating their brains. As well as, telling people not to touch my butt. There are many 5 star reviews. Many of the 1 star reviews, however are experiencing the same issues we are. I am curious to know if refunds are being paid out or if returns are being accepted. We are happy to return the toy, whoever we would have to get it back from our friends. I'd advise against purchasing this toy.

Got this as a gift for my friend's son's first birthday. Took it out of the box to put batteries in and make sure everything worked since the package had clearly been opened before. Looked as if it had been bought, taken out of the box, then shoved back in and returned. Everything worked as it was supposed to. Like some of the other reviews said, there are some...lets say interesting...phrases the toy uses in stories and actions. There is a story where a lion kills a donkey and when you touch it's tail it says "No, don't touch my butt!" Kinda weird. Other that the bit of strangeness it seems like a pretty cool toy for munchkins with songs, music, lights, and movement.

You just tap the toy and it begins to dance around, flaps it's wings, blinks it's eyes,different lights will while making various sound. Also the different buttons on it, will make different sounds, play music and make it's heart beat.In fact, I love toys that moves around on its own. It's very entertaining to watch it roam around the house with a push of a button, and it changes direction when it bumps into the wall or another object. My kiddo loves every time the penguin comes near and scoops it into her arms and goes crazy at the lights and sounds ! I'll definitely be purchasing another one if this one ever bite the dust...!!!

ABC's, right and left. THEN he says, " Where's my BUTT?" Surely I didn't hear him right. Push another button, and he sings. My Granddaughter loves it. She picks him up and then he says "Don't touch my Butt" This was a gift. Imagine sitting around with other Moms, Grandmothers and other children all seeing this cute little Peguin roll around, bouncing off objects and turns around and keeps on going. Now everyone is watching. We could not believe it! I'm sorry, but this is not how I want my child to learn. Amazon this is one toy that you should not be selling! It wouldn't have one star if I wasn't required to put something.

Toy looks cute but when you press the story button..... you are told a story about stalking prey, dividing it and then a lion who kills a donkey for not dividing the prey appropriately.... A TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE STORY... returning it

Bought this toy for my granddaughter.....i cannont believe that there are not more compliants about the "stories" this pengiun tells or how it tells you not to touch its butt...really? I purchased this months ago and shipped it for the holidays....my daughter sent me a video of the penguin.....i told her to throw the penguin out....what sick stories. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOY FOR ANYONE....VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING!!

So this is not the five start I rated it as it is a 3 star at best and only because they tried with all the lights and noise but this toy is CREEPY I mean supper CREEPY it tells story’s that are about lions killing their friends for sharing yea that’s write just sharing I quote then the lione jumped on him and killed him “ I am beginning to think this toy is possessed by Satan it has stayed alive on the same dollar store batteries from Xmas and will turn its self on when I walk by it as I write this review it is staring into my soul and I fear for my life but on the side note the kid seems to love it although she is starting to try and kill her stuffed animals as the demon toy watches buy at your own risk

Unfortunately, my son who is turning 1, saw me checking it out, and I let him play with it for a bit (but then I put it aside for his birthday later this week). I absolutely love penguins, so I was excited to get this. There are different modes that are really child friendly. There is the basic music mode that the penguin stays still, and then a "bump and move" setting where the penguin moves around. Each button has different options. For instance, the story button can be pressed multiple times for a different story. When the penguin is moving, the eyes and beak move as well. It also gives directions such as "touch left wig", etc. It is a fun and interactive toy and I know both of my kids would enjoy playing with this for quite some time. My favorite is the sound controls. I usually keep it on pretty low for stimulation purposes.
