Parallel Marker Scribing Tool

I've been looking all over for a tool that was like the OK Design this is it. However these I bought won't tighten so the Mark moves. I bought two and it's the same with both of them as well as the other two guys I know had bought them at the same time also have the same problem. If they could tighten they would be perfect just like my other ones made by OK tools. Very same design

I’m a union carpenter on my first finish job. Scribing is required on all ends for clean finishes. Unfortunately if you use pencil your line varies in thickness and results in gaps. Mechanical pencils are a must. I tried this tool but couldn’t fit my mechanical in the slot. Tried to modify but just wasn’t giving consistent numbers

This is my go to scribe. The tip on the flat end comes off, so just chuck it, it interferes with scribing. If you need to make a circle use a compass. I had one similar to this and lost it, found this as a replacement. My only complaint is the price, I wouldn't have paid it if I hadn't known how well it works.
