My boyfriend loves these pruners. This is our second purchase of them, only because he lost the spring in the garden from his first pair. He can still use them, but prefers to have the spring. He's had them for several years and they are still nice and sharp.

I have tried several types of Shears and all become dull and bent after a few cuts. This seems to be more solid in that it has hardend steel on both sides of the cutter instead of just plain stainless steel on the dull side. This I will treat with more respect and sofar love it.

The tool is sharp and cuts well. However, the keeper latch, the thing that keeps it closed, won't stay in position. I bought two. On one, after opening the jaws and starting to use it, the keeper gradually moves to the locked position. On the other, the keeper is very hard to move. Although the keeper is held in place by a screw, the screw is locked in position and can't be adjusted.

The hand pruner is sharp and works fairly well. My only complaint is that the latch to keep it closed slides out of place while it is being used causing the handles to lock closed. JD

Low quality, soft steel blades are already pretty mangled after a couple hours in the yard. They couldn't even stand up to 3/4 inch thick branches on a citrus tree (by no means a hard wood).For the price, they are a comfortable pair of light-duty shears. Just don't take them to anything thicker than a pencil.

Not cheap. You can feel the weightiness of the pruners. I had bought the ratcheting pruning prior to ordering this one based on one of the reviews. I'm glad I did. I use the ratcheting pruners for thicker branches and use these pruners for smaller branches and detailed pruning. I like the feel and sound of the shears when they close. Nice precision made craftsmanship. Very happy camper.

These shears are lightweight, sharp, and comfortable to use. I have been using them mostly on my rosebushes, and they are exactly what I was looking for. Good shears are a part of my gardening tool kit and these are used every day. Now I have 2 different types of ML Pruners one for small branches and one for big ones. Highly recommend them both.

I've been using these quite a bit. Like every set of shears I've used, they will bind up a bit. I'm trimming shrubs/etc in the high desert and unlike other sets I've had.....a little silicone lubricant and general cleaning...these seem like they will go forever. I've used them longer than any other set.
