I purchased these black metal pulls for my chicken coop door and chicken run door. They’re lightweight but strong and durable. The size is perfect, not too big or too small, for my 8 ft door. They’ve held up really well outdoors through different weather conditions. Installation was super easy, and they even came with matching black crosshead screws that were simple to screw in. This is an excellent quality handle. I am very pleased with this purchase. I noticed about a month ago that my mom who is getting older could no longer easily make the single step from the sunken den to her kitchen. As the day wore on and her knee became less flexible she was having to get a "running start" to clear the step. I could easily foresee the accident waiting to happen when, one day, she wouldn't get her foot high enough to clear the step. I pictured her tumbling forward and further hurting her already stiff knee or, worse yet, breaking a hip as she toppled. I realized after seeing her method to get in the kitchen that she needed a handle on the trim so that she could use her upper body strength to help heave her safely to the kitchen. This handle is the perfect size for easy gripping and had 2 screw holes on each end for peace of mind. It affixed securely and looks good against the dark walnut trim. Mom said she even "caught dad" using the handle. For anyone who has that rueful single step in their otherwise ranch home this handle can solve your problem for years to come. I now don't have to worry about getting a call that my mom took a nasty fall and that's worth every penny. One of the owners even reached out personally to make sure I was happy with the purchase. I have a garden gate with several stairs that leads along the west side of my home that connects the back yard to the front, and because I love on a steep hill, I worry about my own footing when I'm going up and down the stairs, so I wanted to have handles on both sides of the fence post so that I, and my guests, can feel safe going up and down the stairs. I wanted handles that were going to be sturdy and weather resistant and these definitely fit the bill! As soon as they were put up, I was using them and finding that they offered me a great sense of security going up and down those stairs. My only issue is that the screws that came with the handles seemed just a wee bit short for anchoring these handles, but, thus far, they've been doing the job. They're sturdy, well made, heavy and they function exactly as I need them to for peace of mind. Can't recommend them enough!
