Pretty good, despite the low price
Despite its small size and inexpensive price, this seems to work well. I tend to cook in large batches and then freeze separate portions. I’ve only used this once, but I’m pretty happy so far. I often have to throw out stacks of plastic bags or containers that, over time, become unrecognizable with freezer frost and have the freezer burn taste. The sealer is easy to clean and has a removable, washable tray to catch spills from sealing moist objects. I’m looking forward to using this and saving money and reducing waste.

Light weight, easy to use, good value
The first one I bought has some mechanical issue, and upon contacted they quickly sent me a replacement unit, which is good, although a better QA will be appreciated. As for the product itself, I don't have any compliant. I use it for sous vide and for preserving coffee beans which I cannot consume in 1 month. It's very easy to use and light weight so that moving it out from the storage is a breeze. I also gifted another one to my boyfriend. He used it for preserving abundant cat food and it works well.

Honest review
This is a 100% honest review of this FoodSaver product. I bought mine a few months ago and I did not review it right away because I wanted to use it for a little while make sure the quality was good and it wasn't going to break down on the Second Use as others have. Needless to say I am not disappointed. It is so easy to use just stick the bag in the slot and push the button and you're done. It's very easy to clean up as well. The seal works better than other products that I have used and the suction is about the same as others so nothing super spectacular about that. Other sealers I have had to seal two and three times to make it stop leaking air but with this one, one seal is all it takes. Now at first I messed up a little bit because I was making homemade jerky and when I put them in the bags and tried to seal them it kept leaking air. Then I realized it is not the machine that is the problem it is because the corners of the jerky is poking through the bag LOL. So I learned my lesson on that one and that is also exactly why I wait until I have something for a while before I write a review. I hope this helps and I hope you are happy with the product if you buy it.

I’ve had several. This is best so far.
Whether you pay a lot of $$$ or a lesser $ amount, there is always (around) 5% of people that rate these vacuum sealers as bad.I’ve had a few, so I know exactly what they mean when they say it didn’t vacuum and didn’t seal. The reason most likely is there’s too much in the bag and not enough space left for the machine to suck out the air and then seal.1. I had several rolls of bag material from my previous machines. I wanted to be sure they would work in this machine. I cut my bag, sealed one side and tried to vacuum and seal. I found that if I cut my bag too small and didn’t allow enough air around the food it would not vacuum and not seal.2. The premade bags that came with the machine are all big. I’d only cut it in half, not smaller.3. The mylar bag sealed.I liked that I didn’t have to open the top, line it up, close it up, and then press a button to start.I just put it in the slot, pressed either moist, dry, or seal only. It released the finished bag when it was finished. This is the best one I’ve owned so far.* I write reviews to let you know how this product was for me, and to aid you in your decision to buy or not buy.

It was Great Until it Wasn't
This was a great addition to my household. I am one of those sorts of people who does a lot of preservation, especially when it comes to summer. In addition to breaking down bulk purchases of meat. I used this heavily about once or twice a month. Then it sits safely in a low appliance storage cupboard. What else would you do really? I use Costco (Kirkland) vacuum bags. I have ready made and rolls to make my own.One day recently I needed it to divide some meat. And while it turned on and made all of the right noises it removed zero air and just stayed in the suction mode forever until I stopped it myself. I tried several basic approaches to get it going. Even changed bags. Nope nothing. Well, %$&! it's nowhere near old and has been used less than 100 times. So, I reach out to product support, which is an email address, no problem. I send them an email and state the problem clearly. Here's where it gets "fun."The first email emphasized that it must clearly be dirty and to wash and check the tray seal. And to feel for air.I feel the air and the tray was clean and the seal was tight. It still doesn't work. Emailed back. The next reply again is about the gold sealing strip being dirty. I checked and it wasn't. Again, the machine was and is clean.Emailed back that, that, that tip solved nothing. The reply was to check and remove yet another seal, that seal was so freaking tight that it wasn't loose as they stated in that email.Emailed again that it did not fix the problem.I am basically being emailed and "spoken to" like I'm an idiot dirty American. Rather than providing all information in one email I have to continue to tell them that these problem-solving solutions aren't doing a single thing. Something is wrong. Here have been their ideas of what I'm probably doing.* Not using a vacuum bag. As if I'm just using a sandwich bag and expecting a vacuum seal. <Head to palm slap> I'm not, because I'm not a fool.* Of course, that the machine and all parts are just filthy. I've repeatedly told them that as I check everything is clean and tight.* Oh, that my bag had an air leak. I pointed out that I'm using pre-made commercial bags it would statistically be impossible that all of sudden every bag has a leak.As I type this, I am about a month into trying to get a solution or a replacement as they stated in the shipping box, I've got nothing. So, I can't seal meat for the freezer, and I also cannot use my sous vide cooker because I cannot remove the air from anything.Fun times. So, after being completely fine and mostly sitting in a cupboard (in my warm dry house) and used just a few times a month it just fails to pull air out anymore. And product support seems to think it's my hobby to state things are not working and ask for help because there has been zero resolution. Spoiler it's not, 95% of my small appliances are perfect and I'm not emailing any other companies.

Great Vacuum Sealer!!
Prior to purchasing this vacuum sealer, I had tried two other brands, similar in price, and found this one was superior in every way. The most trouble I had with using other vacuum sealers was that with most of them, you need to line up the bag and keep it there (which can be hard to do with large bags) and then get the cover closed without moving it! With this machine, there is no need to do that. You just slide the bag into the machine and let it do it's job! It pops the bag out when it's done! Couldn't be easier and works amazing!!!!!!
