Infrared LED Diode Wavelength 940nm 60 Degree (50 Pack)

Very very bright, I was taken aback by the size of the lens, didn't realize how big they were going to be, but they work very well.

the product page states these LEDS have:Forward Voltage: 1.55~1.65VForward Current: 60mA Continuous, 120mA peakthe package states 1.25-1.35 forward voltage. I tested the current, and they only draw about 10 ma at their rated voltage, which obviously is a LOT less than the 60ma the product page states, and therefore they are a LOT less bright.Driving them at 1.55-1.65 volts definitely DOES draw about 60ma, but this would also make them run at least 6 times hotter than they are designed for and decrease their life expectancy by a large amount - i doubt they would last long at all.The 60 degree angel is correct and they are 940nm wavelangth, and that's about the only thing they are advert gets right.

Work great, but beware that you may get the wrong size. Ordered these thinking they were 10mm (description says 1cm after all) and ordered accompanying 10mm mounts. Received the 10mm mounts, but 8mm LEDs. A bit disappointing and I have to order more mounts as a result. But that being said, the LEDs work great for the remote control device I'm building. Nice power output and angle for avoiding the need to aim very accurately.
