I've been on these for a very long time. No ill effects (an occasional lemon burp) lol but that's my only, I won't say complaint, gives you a nice surprise reminder when that happens. My eye doctor recommended this brand of fish oil specifically. These are easy to swallow, slightly lemon flavored capsules. The vitamin content is such that he recommended a single capsule per day. My doc says one of the reasons he recommends this brand is that the capsule wall is actually thinner than the average fish oil capsules out there. Since the wall of the capsule is thinner, it dissolves more easily, and that allows better absorption, and that increases the effectiveness. So you get the full nutritional value of the fish oil each day. Don’t let the slight lemon flavor throw you. It isn’t like fish with lemon. There’s very little taste at all.

Very Fishy - Long Time User Says Something Has Changed With The Formulation
I have used ProOmega for many years. My eye doctor recommended it for dry eyes and said I need a stronger millogram dosage than normal Omega 3 products. This product kept me off Restasis and with drops, I was able to maintain the eye moisture. It also helped with joint inflammation as I have arthritis, fibromyalgia, and sciatica. I was taking 2 a day - one on an empty stomach and one at night.In the past, there has been absolutely no taste or smell. I bought two bottles close in time - One in March and one in April. BOTH bottles stunk like bad fish when I opened them - and I wasn't able to get rid of the smell. It was awful.I'm used to taking big capsules so the size isn't the issue. It tastes fishy after I have one of these with water. I just hate that taste and smell. I used them rather than send them back because it was way too much of a hassle.I have heard that unless you buy supplements directly from the company there may be some changes from the original formulation even if it's their brand. I never believed it til I tried this product. I was very disappointed and won't purchase this Nordic Natural product again.
